Grandma, please don't cry,

You're the only one I trust.

Don't shed anymore tears,

I've cried enough for the both of us.

Everyrthing will be okay,

We'll get the rent paid.

I'll do all I can,

Make daddy an honorable men.

Grandma, I can see,

Just drop the façade.

Your heart racing, back breaking,

Every step you take

A pain you are facing.

Grandma, I've learned,

I am no longer a kid.

I watch my back, face the truth,

I no longer see the world as I did.

Grandma, relax,

Your little loca has grown up.

I've put childishness in the past,

I'm no longer afraid of what's in the dark.

Grandma, be proud,

...you know why.

I've become the person you envisioned me to be.

So, Mami, please don't cry.
