"Who was that kid, Bella?" My brother asked as I was getting ready to play street hockey with him and his friends. His friends accepted me, they didn't mind that I was there and that I was a girl. They all also like showing off and wanted to teach me how to play and skate better.

"What kid? The one from school?" I asked a little confused as I pulled my skates on. He shook his head. "Then I don't know what kid you're talking about."

"The one at the hockey arena couple days ago. The boy you were playing hockey with." Oh, I now knew who he was talking about. He was talking about Charlie Conway. I didn't really tell Gage who he was and what we were doing the other night. He just thought that the two of us forgot to go home after practice.

"Oh, that was Charlie Conway. He and I were teaching each other some things. I taught him how to skate better and he taught me how to shoot better." My brother nodded and skated down the driveway throwing me a stick. I skated down the road with him.

Just before we got to the street where we were going to be playing. I saw Charlie and some of the boys playing in an alley, that had a purse, a dog and a can of chilli. I wonder what they're doing? Doesn't matter, I am gonna play with my brother. I don't have much time since he graduates in two and a half years. We got to the street that was a street or two away from where the boys were playing.

"Hey Coles!" Brody yelled as Gage and I stopped in front of them. I had my roller blades, gloves and stick with me. My brother doesn't really care if I were the other required equipment. He wears it during practices and games, but not when we play street hockey.

"Sup guys!" My brother yelled and fist bumped some of them. I stood there waiting to see what team I was gonna be on. Usually me and my  brother are on the same team. Brody, Caylum, Max, Xavier, Hunter and Danny were some of the guys that we're playing and mostly the same guys we're always. Hunter and Caylum are brothers, twins to be exact. Brody and Danny are the best of friends and the others are all really tight as brothers. That's what they say all the time.

"Okay, so Brody, Caylum, Gage and Max are on one team and Hunter, Danny, Bella and I on the other." Xavier said/yelled so we could all hear him. My brother patted my shoulder and told me that I'd be fine with not being on his team for once.

We started playing and we did face off, Gage against Danny. Danny was slightly taller then him, but they were both equally strong and strong players at this sport. Caylum is a littles less experienced but is better then me. But I am pretty good, they say I am the best girl they've ever seen play.

Danny got the puck and passed it back to Hunter who was speeding towards the net. I was playing goalie for our team since none of the others wanted to and they said I would end up getting less hurt if I were net. Hunter scored and the three of them came back this way. I ended up using Caylum's goalie gear. I stood in the middle and kept my eyes ont he puck and the guys around it.

"Watch out, Bella!" Gage yelled as Brody came down towards my net with Cay and Danny by his side or behind him. Danny wasn't fast enough and couldn't grab the puck.  Brody was like a beast machine with a stick and puck, he was furious and always wanted to win. I absolutely forgot about hima nd how violent he is at this sport. I might be younger then all of them, but Brody will block everything out and make sure that that puck gets into that net. He stopped and took a slap shot. I missed the puck and fell to the ground.

"Bella!" Danny yelled. Danny and Cay liked me a whole lot, as a kid though. They liked having me around, teaching me things and making me embarrass the others for them and do stupid things with them. I sat up shaking my head and looked around at the guys were all blurry in front of me.

"How many fingers?" Gage, I believed, asked.

"Um? Four!" I said and got lifted off the ground. I stood up and my vision was still a little off then normal.
