Charlie's POV

We were walking down the street into the alley we usually hang out at when we saw Larson and McGill here. Banks wasn't with them this time, I don't know where he was. All I know is that he's joining the ducks and some of us are too fond of that idea. I don't mind, I hate how he was a Hawk and is now joining the ducks. But we do need another good player on the team.

"What do you guys want?" Peter snapped at them folding his arms across his chest and looking at them. I stood next to him and Averman. Karp and Goldberg  stood behind us all over the place. Bella stood next to me and on the other side of her stood Guy.

"Nothing, girls." Larson said.

"Then leave!" Bella said, she looked like she was about to punch one of them. Guy and I held her back while Larson and McGill took a couple steps back.

"Let's go before they cause us any trouble." McGill said and passed by us, Larson came by and pushed Guy pretty hard. Knocking him over and he pulled Bella and I to the ground with him. The two Hawks laughed as they left the alley.

"You guys okay?" Goldberg asked.

"No, they're going to get their faces knocked in next time I see them." Bella said and stood up, helping Guy up. "Charlie, are you getting up or not?"

"I'm going, I'm going." I called and stood up in front of them. Peter and Karp were laughing, I turned around and Karp was getting out of the dumpster with something in his hands.

"What are you guys doing?" Bella asked.

"We do this all the time. We prank people." Guy told her. She nodded and watched us figure out what we were going to do as a prank.

Bella's POV

I am so going to kill Larson and McGill next time I see them. But right now, it smells horrible here. They somehow were able to make this prank smell so bad. I had to leave, so I told Charlie that I'd be back later on when there isn't any smell left. I am not too sure if he heard me or not, but what ever I guess.

In three days is going to be our final game against the Hawks. Tomorrow we play the Cardinals or the Jets. I am not too sure, or it neither of them and I got the teams mixed once again. I just can't wait to have Banks on our team so we could possibly win. We've beaten the other teams so far but, we just haven't beaten the Hawks yet. But that's gonna change in a few days. No more first place banner to the Hawks, but to D-5 Ducks.

"Bella?" I turned around and didn't see anyone. I looked towards the road and then sighed really loud. It's my mother, great. What does she want now? "Where have you been?"

"Hockey games, practice and school. Where else would I be?" I asked.

"My house at night. By the way, your brother came by last night wanting to take you out for the night. But you weren't there." She told me. I looked to my right and then looked back at her. I was a little upset that I missed a night with my brother. I haven't seen him in a long time and it's been hard, but not with Charlie by my side. He's been a great help for me. I smiled just thinking about him. "What are you smiling about?"

I wiped the smile off my face, "Nothing." I took a step or two away from her truck and wanted to sprint down the road and run away from her. But from the corner of my eye I could see Charlie, Guy, Peter, Goldberg, Karp and Averman standing at the entry of the alley. I so didn't want to be seen in this situation. "Look I have somewhere to be. When will Gage be at the house next?"

"Tonight actually. I expect to see you there by 5:00." I nodded. She gave me a small smile, that  wasn't a real one, and then left down the street. I pulled my hoodie over my shoulders since it was draped over my left shoulder and I was getting a little cold. I decided to run since it was cold and I'd warm up better. I bet the others were following me somewhere.

I was going to go to my dad's house and grab some warmer clothes. I walked passed the arena and walked a little further to my house. Once I reached the house, I stopped and put my hand behind the mailbox, grabbing the spare key that's always there. I unlocked the door and went inside, accidentally slamming the door shut behind me.

I ran up to my room and left the door wide open. I pulled my shirt off and looked around for my long sleeve that I didn't know where it was. I went to my closet and searched for it. I heard some hustling downstairs and wasn't sure what is was. So I grabbed a bat from my closet and walked down stairs quietly. I made way to the dark living room, I turned the lights and there stood Guy, Charlie, Karp, Peter Goldberg and Averman in my living room on the floor. Their eyes went wide and I had no idea why.

"You're healing up good!" Averman said. I looked down and I was wearing pants and bra. I quickly grabbed a blanket and wrapped myself in it.

"Why you all here in my house?" I asked.

"This is your house, we though it was Karp's." Peter said.

"Don't be stupid.... I'll be back in 5 minutes. Stay there and don't break anything."

"Woah, bossy aren't ya?" Goldberg said. I left upstairs and shut my bedroom door so no one could see me and then I locked it so none of those boys could come in. I grabbed the long sleeve I was looking for and pulled that on, then grabbed flannel and threw that on and then a hoodie. I changed my pants to sweats and then brushed my hair, putting it in a braid and then a bun on the top of my head. I grabbed my glasses and put them in the pocket of my flannel shirt. I was wearing contacts instead of glasses because I hate wearing them and I don't look too good wearing them either.

I ran back down stairs to see they weren't in the living room. But there was yelling coming from the kitchen. I noticed one voice was very familiar, I was also suppose to be at my mom's in an hour. I slept all day which doesn't help, but I had to go to my mom's and then hopefully leave later on that night.

"That's mine, give it back!" I heard. It was... Gage?

"Gage? What are you doing here?" I asked. He turned around and dropped Peter to the ground that was upside down in his hands. Charlie and Guy were hugging each other in the corner of the kitchen. Goldberg, Karp and Averman we under the table hiding and Peter was rubbing his head from hitting his head off the ground.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"I asked you first."

"Looking to see if dad has my white jersey and my stick." I nodded.

"Okay, well I live here. That's why I am here." I turned around and walked into the dinning room, grabbing a stick from the corner of the room and then walking into the office where his jersey hung in the closet. I walked back out into the kitchen to see half of them were still hiding and are scared. What wimps! It would be me the one who's scared, but no! It's the boys who are scared, hugging onto each other and hiding under the table. The only one who isn't scared is Peter.

"Here" I said and handed him his things.

"Thanks, I'll see you tonight at mom's."

"Yep." He hugged me and left. I started to make my way out the door too. He left in his truck down the street. He had some of his buddies with him and their radio was loud. Dad would kill them all if he was here. I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I jumped and turned around to see Charlie and the boys here with me on the porch.

"You can't go to your mom's, Bella." Guy told me.

"Why not? She can't hurt me. Gage is there and he hasn't let anyone lay a finger on me." I said and continued to walk down the stairs of the porch with them trailing behind me and eating what ever food they found in the cabinets.

"So? Who said he won't help you tonight?" Averman said. Charlie stayed quiet, I guess he didn't want things to heat up and get out of control.

"He will, now drop it."

Charlie's POV

Bella stayed quiet the whole time while we walked to the pond. We passed her mom's house and she left. So it was just us for the night and we played some hockey. Jesse and Terry were there at the pond, so we played some hockey and some games on the ice to keep us busy for the night until it got late and we all had to leave.
