I wake up and my arm hurts badly. I look down at it and see the bandage is very red, instead of white. Oh shit! I quickly walk to the bathroom. I open the door,  to close back again immediately. Die was using the toilet. 'Sorry!' I shout just hard enough for him to hear. I make sure my sleeve is down, just before Die comes out of the bathroom. 'Your turn.' he says. I look to the ground, a little ashamed. I go in and lock the door. When I finished unwrapping the bandage from my arm and washing my arm, I see the results of yesterday night. Everything is red. The cuts themselves but also the area around them. This is the worst it has ever been. I keep my arm under the cold water in the sink. It still hurts, but just a little less. I wrap a clean bandage around my arm. I walk back. 'Hey, my mother just gave me today's task. It says we have to go do something fun.' Die says. 'What do you think about swimming?' 'NO!... I mean... I-I don't have my swimming trunks... and I don't really like swimming, actually...' In fact, I was just thinking about him seeing me half naked and especially with nothing to cover my arms. I must have looked really stressed, because Die quickly says: 'We don't have to... if you don't want to, there are a lot of other great things!  We could go for a walk if you like that, there's a beautiful place not far from here?' I nod, relieved. 'Okay, well, let's go then.'

We have to go by bus. We just sit next to eachother without talking. Even though I always like silence, it's kind of awkward. I stare out of the window, lost in thought about everything. This situation is just so unreal. I feel a tap on my shoulder. It's Die. It seems we arrived. We stand at the edge of a forest. 'You'd better follow me, believe me. You'll get lost on your own, I can tell. But I've been here so many times, that I know the way by now.' While he was talking we walked a bit. The sky's getting darker. After half an hour of walking we stop at an open place. My jaw almost drops. 'It's so beautiful.' There a small lake and at the other side of it are Sakura trees. It reminds me a little of the lake at home, where my brother... rests. 'Yeah, I know.' I sit down. Die does too.

We talk a little... well... he does. I just sit and watch. You know, I just realise Die is actually a little like me. Same interests and things. It is quite for a moment before Die talks again. 'You know, you should talk to someone about whatever is wrong. Cropping it all up won't make things any better.' 'Hm? What are you talking about? What is wrong?' 'Don't fool me, Shinya, it's not hard to tell you're upset about something.' 'Oh, well, it's not like I have someone to talk to.' I say. 'You could always talk to me.' I look at him sarcastically, then I look at the sky. It's pitch-dark. A wind has started to blow and the air feels heavy. Not more than 5 seconds later, big raindrops start to fall. 'We should go.' I say. Not long after I say that, the rain falls down as if someone empties hundreds of buckets of water. 'Follow me, we'll just run back to the busstop.' He starts running. I follow. We run for a while and I think we are halfway there, when I stumble over a root of a tree and my foot twists. Damn, it hurts like hell! Die just continues running. I don't think he noticed. I remember him saying to not lose him, otherwise I will get lost. So I get up as fast as I can, ignoring the pain, running even faster than before to catch up with Die. I'm limping. The rain doesn't stop falling and I don't think it will, soon. After a while we get at the busstop. The bus just stops by. We get in and are finally protected from the rain. We both are soaking wet. I sit down and cross my legs to not let my foot touch the ground. I don't think it's broken, but it sure hurts like hell. 'We're lucky that the bus just stopped by!' Die says. 'Yeah, we are.'

'Ugh, I hate being in wet clothes. When I get home, I'm going to change my clothes and make hot chocolate for us. I really need that, right now.' I smile. I like hot chocolate. My brother always made it for me. 'You should do that more often.' He says.  'What?' I ask. 'Smiling.'

Then we are back at the busstop near Die's house. O god, I need to walk again. I get up and make sure that there's not much pressure on my foot. Then I need to step out of the bus. That also went well, with a lot of effort. After that I need to take another step. I take a hesitant step with my wrong foot. And it hurts. It hurts so badly that my whole leg collapses from the sting that shoots through my leg. 'Wow, Shinya, are you okay? What happened?' 'My foot twisted back in the wood when we were running.' I say. 'Then why did you continue running?' 'You told me not to lose you and you kept running.' 'You could've called me. Now, come on, we need to get home.' He helps me up en put my arm around his shoulders and he does the with his own arm, so I can lean on him. We walk to his house, very slowly and it's still raining. Then we are finally home. 'Is it okay if I go through your stuff to grab some dry clothes? I don't think you can walk upstairs.' I nod. 'Okay, be right back.' About five minutes later, he is back. 'I hope this is okay?' He hands me a bundle of clothes. It's my sweatpants, a plain shirt and a sweater. I nod. 'You can change here, I'm going to do the same.' He walks away. I change my pants, very carefull not to touch my foot. When I accidentally do touch it I let out a hiss. Damn, why can't I just be not clumsy. Die comes back in when I'm just finished with putting on my sweater. 'You can just sit on the couch. I'll be back in a moment.' He walks to the kitchen. I do what he said. About five minutes later he returns with two damping muggs with hot chocolate and hands one to me. 'Thanks.' We both are  finished. 'Do you want me to look at your foot?' He asks. 'Nah, it's okay.' 'Come on, you just collapsed. That not good.' No shit Sherlock. 'I'm fine!' I say. 'Okay, stand up and walk.' What? 'Why?' I ask. He sighs. 'If there's nothing wrong you can walk.' I slowly stand up. 'Now walk.' he demands. I put bad foot down. 'Ow!' I fall down. 'Yup, I can see your foot is okay.' He laughs. I hiss. 'Don't laugh at me!' In my head I continue: 'You've done that way too many times.' He looks at me. 'What did you say?' O god, he heared that? 'Uhm... Don't laugh at me?' 'After that.' 'N-nothing...' I say. 'Don't lie to me. Now, just let me look okay?' Before I can say something he sits beside me and pushes one side of my sweatpants up. I hadn't looked at it earlier, but it is starting to turn purple. 'Damn.' We say at the same moment. He chuckles. 'Look, I have broken my foot twice. I know when it's broken, but I'm going to have to push on it to know and that will hurt. Okay?' I nod. I have been feeling a lot of pain lately. How bad can it be? ...

Okay I was wrong! I was so wrong. God damn tree! 'I don't think it's broken. I'll get an icepack. It'll relieve some of the pain.'

When he comes back, he places an icepack around my ankle. We sit there for a moment. 'Where is your family now, actually?' I just notice that I haven't seen them since we've come home. 'They're to my grandma. So we have to eat by ourselves. I just placed pizza's in the oven.' 'Oow, that explains.' I say.
