Chapter 9

The past three weeks have been like hell. I haven’t been allowed to go out and I’m only allowed to get up to go to the bathroom or walk to the kitchen to get something to eat.

I’m now thirty five weeks pregnant and I am huge. Seriously, I can’t even bend to shave my legs anymore. By the time I go into labor I’m going to look like a monkey unless I can convince Garry to help me, but so far I haven’t succeeded.

I had a check-up today and I was excited because I will get to see my little princess again, but it will be the last time. Well until she finally decides she wants to make her entrance.

I started losing my mucus plug last week, so that’s a sign I will shortly be in labor. Well that’s not always the case, but I was thinking hopefully. Any day now, but I was so scared. I decided I was going to have Garry, his mum, and my mum in the room when I’m in labor.

The midwife said my little girl looked really healthy, and that her head was engaged; it felt nice and snug. “She won’t be moving back out of here,” she said as she pushed and wobbled my little girls head in my pelvic area.

She also did an internal to see how my cervix was. “Wow your cervix is very thin. I would give it a couple more days’ sweetie and you should finally have your little girl in your arms.”

Garry was so excited. He can’t wait for the phone call to say its time. He’s had a really hard time since his dad passed away three weeks ago, this is the first time I’ve seen him happy since that awful day.

Mum said it was okay for Garry to sleep at our house every night until I go into labor, seeing as though he doesn’t want to miss anything.

He’s still really worried about me over doing things even though the doctor told me I don’t have to be on bed rest anymore.

What can I say? I have a very loving and caring boyfriend who only wants to give me the world. I was so happy being with him. I can’t imagine my life without him.

“I love you more than anything, you know that right, “I asked him.

“I know you do, and you also know you mean more to me than anyone ever will… apart from out little girl of course,” Garry said.

“Who do you think she’ll look like?” I asked.

“I think she’ll look like you, well I hope she does,” Garry replied.

“Nah, I really hope she looks like you. I know this is going to start an argument, so I give up now. Look!  I’m waving a white flag I surrender,” I said to him while laughing because I was waving a white sock.

“I need a bath. Can you please help me with my legs? Pretty pretty please?! You don’t want our daughter to finally meet me and started screaming because I look like a gorilla, do you?” I asked him.
