Chapter 17
I decided it was about time I went back to school. It’s been five weeks and I’ve missed out on a lot. I need to catch up before it’s too late and I won’t be able to graduate year ten with my friends.
I finished getting ready for school and gave Chloe breakfast. She loved her weetbix the little piggy was already eating one and a half.
“Mmm yummy, open up for mummy,” I said while moving her spoon around in front of her. She was so cute. She just sat there with her mouth wide open ready for the spoon.
“You know you don’t need to tell her to open her mouth when it’s already as wide as its going to get,” mum said while laughing.
“Shh, I know that,” I replied.
I gave Chloe her spoon so she could try to feed herself. I knew she was going to get it everywhere, but I wanted my girl to be able to do things for herself.
“Tina she’s going to get it everywhere,” mum said in an angry tone.
“It’s only weetbix. It won’t hurt or stain anything,” I replied.
My mum could be a real worry wart at times. What damage is a little weetbix going to cause?
“You know you’re going to have a lot of work to catch up on sweetie,” mum said from the lounge room.
“I know. I’ll manage to catch up, I promise,” I replied back.
I gathered my things and said bye to Chloe.
“I’ll miss you little chubba,” I cooed at her.
She just smiled and continued to wave her spoon around. Mum’s going to have a very nice mess to clean after Chloe’s finished with her breakfast.
“Make sure you come straight home after school. I need to do the grocery shopping,” my mum yelled as I walked out the door.
I was meeting the girls at the front gate like I would any other morning I was at school. I was a little nervous. I didn’t want to see Garry. I didn’t want to hear all the rumours people were saying while I was away because I know these stuck up little bitches would be saying shit about Garry and myself.
“Hey T,” Kelly said as I walked towards my friends.
“Hey, where are the other girls?” I asked.
“They’re around here somewhere. I think they had a few things to do before class,” she replied.
We walked into the school grounds and everyone just stared at me. ‘Great. What has he been telling everyone,’ I thought to myself.
“Don’t listen to what they say,” Kelly whispered in my ear.
“None of its true, I didn’t cheat on him. I didn’t sleep with Veronica’s brother. I didn’t sleep around, I’m not like that. I’d never do something like that,” I said angrily.
“We all know that girl. Garry was the one who was sleeping around while he was with you,” Kelly said.
What does she mean he was sleeping around? If they knew why didn’t they say something? Why would my friends keep this from me?
“What do you mean? Who did he sleep with?” I asked Kelly as Veronica and Amy walked towards us.
“Why are you so pissed?” Amy asked.
“Who did Garry sleep with while he was with me?” I asked the lot of them. But none of them said a word, they just all looked at each other.
“Tell me who it was now before I never speak to any of you again!” I yelled at them.
