Chapter 12
It’s been one month since I had my little girl and the school year is over. Garry is working a part time job to earn some money to support his daughter even though his mum told him he didn’t have to he could use the money his dad left him.
“No. I want to try and stand on my own two feet,” he told his mum.
“Okay, but it’s there if you need it,” she replied to him.
He’s been working so hard the last few weeks and he’s always here with little Chloe afterwards. He really is a good dad.
Soon she’ll be smiling and be able to see. I can’t wait to see her smile for the first time, not just because she has wind. Chloe is a really good baby; she sleeps through most of the night, but usually her last bottle is at one a.m. and she’ll sleep until six or seven.
“Look at you little fatty,” I said to Chloe as I was changing her.
But like always I don’t even get a little noise out of her. She just starts to go to sleep. This girl sure knows how to sleep. ‘I wish I could sleep like that,’ I thought to myself.
Little Chloe is now in 000 and some of them are getting a little too tight.
While I was sitting here looking at my precious little bundle the door opened and in walked the girls.
“You nearly ready to go,“ Amy asked.
“In a minute, I just need to get dressed.” I said. I was too busy just staring at Chloe I didn’t realize I was running late.
We were going shopping for Christmas presents today and I was so excited to get the last few things for Chloe. Even though she is only a month old doesn’t mean she can’t get spoilt.
She has so many things already I’ve had to start putting something’s in my room. She has no room left in her drawers for any clothes and soon I’ll have to go through them and get rid of all the ones that are too small.
I got dressed and went back downstairs. All the girls were huddled around the little pink bundle in her rocker.
“What are you girls doing?” I asked.
“Just watching her sleep, she looks so peaceful and precious,” Kelly said.
“Yeah she does,” I whispered as I picked her up and put her in the pram.
