Chapter 20

The night seemed to go by pretty quickly I woke up in Chloe’s room and six a.m. Chloe was still sound asleep so I snuck out of the room and into mine. I grabbed some clothes and went for a nice hot bath my muscles were sore from sleeping in the rocking chair all night.

I ran the bath so the water was just right I poured in some of my favourite bubble bath it smelt like mango and strawberries. I relaxed in the bath for a good twenty minutes before I decided to wash my hair. I grabbed my vanilla shampoo and conditioner and washed my hair twice before deciding to get out.

I started at my new school today. ‘Things will be ok’ I said to myself as I was getting dressed the uniform was really ugly it was green and white with checkers on the skirt ‘stupid catholic school uniform’ I thought.

All ready to leave for my first day and I started to feel sick I know its only nerves and they’d pass.

“Mum I feel sick can I stay home please” I begged my mum as she drove me to school.

“No you’ve had enough time off and it’s your first day” she replied.

Chloe was in her car seat babbling to herself like she usually does. She’s been a real happy baby the last few days.

“There just nerves and will pass shortly”

“I know” I replied.

Dad’s been working nonstop the last few months and tonight he promised he’d be home to take us out to dinner as a family. I was looking forward to spending time with my mum, dad and chloe.

We pulled up at the school and I just sat in the car I didn’t want to get out.

“Go on Tina I’ve got things to do”

“Ok I’m going” I replied.

I got out of the car and went to the back doors to give chloe a kiss goodbye.

“see you later beautiful girl” I said softly to chloe.

She didn’t say anything just babbled ma ma ma. I waved bye to my mum before I made my way to the administration office to get my time table and classes. The school was beautiful in a way it kind of reminded me of a castle sort of thing but I knew it wasn’t a girl could dream couldn’t she.

I walked into the office and spoke to the receptionist.

“Hi I’m here to get me timetable” I said to the little old grey haired woman sitting behind the counter.

“Oh yes just a second and I will be right back with it” she replied.

I took a seat while I waited for my class list. Class starts in about thirty minutes so I should have some time to wonder around and try to find my first class. I got my timetable and thanked the receptionist. First up I have maths with Mr Moore.

‘Great I hate maths’ I thought to myself. I went in search of my class when I bumped into someone.

“Oh god I’m so sorry I should have been watching where I was walking” I apologized to the girl.

“That’s fine you must be the new girl Tina. I’m Kiara” she spoke as she held her hand out.

I shook her hand and apologized yet again for being so clumsy.

“Hi, you wouldn’t happen to know where maths with Mr Moore is would you.” I asked her.

“I sure do I’m heading that way right now. What other classes have you got” she asked.
