Mark
My car stopped right in front of the house I was going to. I stepped out from the car and approached the door. I rang the bell and waited for the maid to open. I could hear music and singing from inside.
Then the door opened, revealing a short black-haired girl, the maid.
"Welcome Mr Alexandrou.." she said "My bosses are waiting for you, come inside."
After muttering a "thank you", I did as I was told and started walking to the living room beside the maid.
"Is my sister here right??" I asked her while she was leading me to her bosses.
"Yes. Miss Vicky has come here since the evening. She informed bosses that you would be a little late." She answered
"Okay.." I said.We reached to the living room. The first thing I saw was a group of young people. They were dancing and singing, one of them was playing bouzouki. They seemed to have a lot of fun. My sister must be there. She would never hang out with the other group of people.
Those were older and prefered to sit on the other side of the large living room. They were playing cards. Probably they were the parents of the guys who were having fun on the other side of the room.
Suddenly I saw an old couple approaching me. They were the owners of the house. Mr and Mrs Papadopoulos.
"Dear Mark.. welcome to our house!!" Mr Papadopoulos said giving me his hand.
"Thank you Mr Papadopoulos." I said taking his hand. Then I turned to face his wife. She gave me her hand and I took it and kissed it.
"It is so nice that you managed to come my child." She said
"I couldn't do otherwise. John and I are best friends since elementary school. Also I know Sofy since she was a little baby. How is possible not to come to her birthday??" I said.I would never miss that party. Although two hours ago I was abroad for business, I wouldn't miss it. Sofia was John's, my best friend's sister. We know each other since little boys, we were both eight years old when she was born. She had her birthday today, she became officially 17 years old.
"Anyway, it was very nice of you." She said "You must forgive us now, we have to return to our visitors."
"Also you are young. You must prefer hanging out with people in the same age with you, not with elderly like us." Her husband added with a small laugh.
"Okay. I will see you later again." I said kindly and they went back to their visitors, while I was going to the other side of the room. As soon as I approached enough, I saw a blonde head escaping from the young people who were dancing in a circle and singing loudly and approaching me.
It was my sister Vicky.
"You finally decided to come!! Thank goodness!!" she exclaimed when she almost jumped at me "I thought you said that you wouldn't be late!!"
"Such a nice way to welcome your big brother Vicky!!" I shot back glaring at her "It's not my fault and you know it!!"
"Okay you're right.. I'm sorry.." she muttered "Oh I must tell you something." and she started talking animatedly.
My sister has this disadvantage. When she wants to say something very much, she talks much and quickly. When she does that, I barely understand her, like this time, when something else -or better someone- grabbed fully my attention.
It was a girl.
A very beautiful girl.
I had never seen such a beauty in my life. Nobody of all of my affairs was so beautiful. This girl was out of this world. She had light brown hair with a few blond strands. Her eyes were blue, a new undiscovered ocean. Also she had rosy cheeks and red lips. She was very thin and tall enough. She had a beautiful shaped body. She was wearing a red klos dress and shoes in the same colour.
