Irene
Me and Phoebe laughed as we walked to the national garden.
It was a beautiful day today. Although it was already afternoon and a little cold outside, the sky was bright and clear, without any clouds on it.
Whenever the days were as beautiful as this one, me and Phoebe liked to go for a walk at the national garden after university or even the days that we didn't have lessons.
Since he returned, the days had became more beautiful, full of laughter and joy.
Phoebe had actually helped me to view life differently, to see the nice aspect again.
He had made me hope and want to live again.
He had made me realise the treasure I had in my hands all these years and appreciate it again.
My family and friends were happy and healthy, I was going to University as I was always dreaming of and I could finally have one of my best friends by my side.
There was nothing to be afraid of, there was no dark anymore.
Only light, there was only light.
My life was beautiful and I wanted to live it, I was young and I didn't want to waste it. I felt full.
"You know.. I can't wait for summer to come in order to go for swimming. This cold had made me tired." Phoebe said as we were laying on the grass
I giggled.
"We have so much time until summer comes!! January has just passed!!" I said through my laugh
"I know but I just can't wait!! We were always having so much fun when we were going to the beach at summers, remember??" He asked
"Yes I do. We were enjoying very much ourselves!!" I said "I didn't want summers to end!!"
"Now you can understand me then.." he said with a small smile
"Yes.. time will pass quickly and beautifully and soon summer will come.." I said smiling widely
"You can't imagine how happy I am that you view things like that.. when I had seen you for first time after my return, for a moment I was scared that I wouldn't be able to help you.." he said with relief in his tone
"But you fought tooth and nail to see me like this again. You really fought for me Phoebe, I will always owe you my life.." I said looking at him softly, while I was turning on my side facing him
"I don't want you to owe me, I want you to love me.." he said
"But I do. I always loved you.." I said
He turned his face to my side and looked at me.
He traced my cheek softly and a small, tiny smile appeared on his lips.
"I don't want you to love me only like that.." he said quietly
I looked at him confused.
"What do you mean??" I asked curiously
He looked at me a little nervously.
"I mean.. that.." he answered hesitantly
Then his face moved closer to mine. Soon his lips found mine in a soft velvet kiss.
His lips moved hesitantly over mine, but the kiss was sweet, sweet like honey.
I kissed him back too, hesitantly, but I did. I liked his taste, his sweetness. Actually it was a taste I had never tried before.
