Chapter 18: he's alive!

Ava(p.o.v):

My mouth dropped  "Luke oh my gawd" I said entering the room which had a funky smell but I could careless about it!

"you.. you are awake" I said trying not to cry, he was being checked by the doctor and the nurses "Miss please get out, the patient needs to be checked" one of them said grabbing my arm

"Luke"  I said and he looked up at me "Av... ava"

"Luke" I said walking towards him "Miss" the nurse said but I ignored her.

"please leave right now" the Dr said but I couldn't believe Luke was awake, I just stood there not being able to talk and he just stared at me with a surprised looked.

The nurse grabbed my arm again and walked me to the door but I didn't stopped staring at Luke until the door got closed and then I realized it was real! Luke was awake! He was being checked in that room right this second!

"Oh my God!" I said with excitement and saw Beau walking towards me "Beau!" I said walking towards him and I couldn't help but hug him!

"Beau! Luke is awake! he's  finally awake!"

"what?" He asked like he didn't believed me at first "Luke is awake! they closed the curtains but he is awake... the doctor is there with him! his up!"

"he's awake, that's amazing I'm so... wow we need to let the others know and call Jay and his mom" Beau said he couldn't stop smiling and

his eyes got watery "wow" he said looking away so I couldn't see his watery eyes.

Luke(p.o.v)

I was really annoyed by all the freaking questions the Dr was asking me , he kept checking my sight and reflexes but I was just confused! the light was bothering me and I felt uncomfortable when the nurses changed me and clean my vomit!

I had so many questions but I couldn't say anything, I was just barely answering the doctors questions.

Apparently I had been unconscious for three days! what? three days! three days in bed and with a freaking thing plug in my... you know what!

My arm and ribs were broken so that explained why I had that terrible pain on my side when I stupidly sat up... but more important than that I was annoyed because they wouldn't let me see my friends!

They wouldn't let me see Ava yet...

I didn't know what happened to her after the accident, was she okay?  and my family? where they here? who had sign all the paper work? the school? my parents?

"you seem to be okay , just need to rest, you'll be able to go home in a couple of days  or maybe more depending on how you spent the night. Your fractured rib can be treated at home, you just need to rest and I'll give you some painkillers that will help you a lot" the Dr said writing something on a clipboard.

"how long will it take to heal?" I asked him "it can take from 4 to 6 weeks, it will heal on its own, you might feel some discomfort when you breath but taking deep breaths will help you"

"okay and yes I do feel some pain when I breath"

"We'll give you some painkillers plus some you'll take home, you live with your friends right? Will they be able to watch you?"

"yes of course, talking about them,can I see my friends now? are my parents here? my brother?"

"I'm sorry but your family was unable to travel to the states but you have great friends... they haven't left the hospital since your accident, and yes your friends can come in now" he said leaving with the nurses.
