Chapter 22: Manhunt

Ava(p.o.v):

"Ava can you go with Beau? he'll help you hide but Beau and Jack usually fight and get loud so I'd rather help Jack hide and explain him what we are going to do" Luke explained to me while holding my hands "okay hun" I said kissing him on the lips.

"Okay we are going to start counting!!" Daniel yelled from the living room.

"take care of Ava" Luke said to Beau and ran with Jack to the right while me and Beau went to the left, I know this sound wrong but I couldn't help but feel a little excited of having some alone time with Beau! ugh what am I thinking?!

"let's go to the lake there should be a good hiding place and we won't be that far from the house, Luke will send me a text whenever Jack is used as bait" he said

"so mean" I said and almost tripped but Beau grabbed me "are you okay?" He asked and I could smell his cologne "ye-yes, we should probably hurry up the minute is almost over" I said walking away , I don't understand why Luke left me alone with Beau, well why wouldn't he? He trust me and his friends obviously and just because I find Beau extremely handsome doesn't mean he finds me attractive, and this is just physical... gawd I'm over thinking!!

"damn is cold" Beau said , we were close by the lake and it looked so pretty I wish I was with Luke instead of thinking of Beau's gorgeous eyes.

The lake was huge and it looked almost black , the only lights were coming from the moon and the Windows that from this distant you could barely see.

"I know!" I said rubbing my hands against my arms "you need help?" he asked and started rubbing my arms with his hands "better?" He asked and I just nodded not being able to look away from his eyes , oh my God this is so wrong.

I took some steps back and felt to the ground this time Beau tried helping but I ended up dragging him to the ground on accident "hahaha oh jeez I'm so sorry I'm so clumsy I can barely-"

"shhh" he whispered , I just noticed how closed he was to my face, we stood silence for a minute.

"I heard something!" that was Daniels voice "yeah look by those bushes , I'm going to the other side" Shin said.

Beau was still on top of me and I couldn't help but stare at him, he smiled and stared back... we then heard some foot steps getting far from us, I could feel his breathing on my face

"Beau.." I whispered and he kept staring at me, my eyes and then lips! my heart raced, oh my God!

"Beau, I think Daniel left and you're still on top of me" I whispered , he blushed or maybe he didn't , his cheeks were already red because of the cold... I'm seeing things obviously.

"Oh... yeah my bad" he said standing and helping me stand up, he took his phone out of his pocket and smiled "that was Luke, asking if shin or Daniel were around"

"did you say yes?"

"yeah and oh- he replied"

"Are we still hiding?" I asked.

"Well Luke says his sending Jack on our way to distract Daniel so we need to get to the safe spot, let me give him a small call"

NARRATOR:

So Beau basically explained Ava that she had to distract Kelly who was near the safe spot cause even if Kelly tags her and Shin,Bill or Daniel tag Jack they can still win as long as Luke and someone else makes it there since the leader can't be tag or they will loose because they'll have just one person at the safe spot.

Ava was surprised how serious the guys were taking the game but she then realized it's just guys being guys!
