Gianna

Christmas Eve was today, and we had taken the whole week off, which was very fortunate of Damien. Damien said he had a surprise for me in Christmas, and I was excited.

We had decided to have Max's birthday party separate from Christmas, considering my baby boy's birthday was tomorrow. He was turning five, and I couldn't believe it.

Time sure does fly by fast, considering it seemed like only a few days ago we were moving to L.A from New York because of....... I don't want to explain it right now.

Speaking of him, after Blake had told me, I had tried to get ahold of their father, but no use.

Blake told me that he had randomly called him while he was in school, or particularly, at lunch.

This scared me shitless considering he was suppose to be in jail for a few more years at least. Reaching to conclusions, I figured out he must of gotten out because of good behavior. If anything, they should of kept his ass in jail.

Damien has been helping me through this whole thing and I have been eternally grateful.

In the meantime, I was still debating whether or not I would go to Jackson's Christmas Party tomorrow, considering I barely knew his family. He mentioned it would be at his brother-in-laws house, who I still don't know the name of. Jackson had sent me the location to his house. Even though I had promised him yes, I was rethinking it.

If I were to go, first we would have to go over to Damien's parents house with the kids for a few hours. I didn't know if they would be happy to see me considering I was the opposite of a good teenager back then, and a 'bad influence' to their son.

After that, maybe I would take just my children and go to his brothers house while he went out with his cousins.

Right now, I was on the laptop looking at the prison he had been released from. Making a few calls, my theory that he was released because of good behavior was confirmed. If he thought he was getting anywhere near my family, he was clearly mistaken.

Later, we would be going to Damien's half-sisters Christmas Eve Party, named Bianca. I had met her a few times and Damien told me she now had a little boy named Vincent and a teenage daughter named Kira. When I had left Idaho, she was about two years older than the two of us.

I rubbed my temples as Aspen came into the living room.

"Hey mommy, can we FaceTime Aunty Harley and Sadie too?" She asked.

"Sure, let's do it." I spoke, going to the FaceTime app and clicking on the button. It took a few tries before the two of them picked up.

"Hey guys!" I exclaimed, as the two girls began to squeal and immediately talk. Back in California, Sadie and Aspen were best friends as you could tell.

While they spoke, Harley and I had our own conversation.

She updated me on what was going on there. Apparently, the owner who owned our building couldn't pay his taxes which caused him to loose the apartment complex. Harley told me that some other guy bought it, and she also updated me about our friends.

Once she finished, I told her what was happening here with Damien and all.

"Harley, but seriously, I need to tell you something important." I spoke, in a serious tone. Turning to Aspen, I told her to say goodbye to Sadie and to wish her a Merry Christmas.

"Sadie, tell Aspen by as well." Harley told her daughter.

"Fine, bye Aspen! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas, Sadie! And remember to watch the Ariana Grande video I told you about!"

"I will, bye!"

"Bye!" The two girls exclaimed, as Sadie exited from the screen and Aspen ran to the basement.

"So what was it?" Harley asked.

I took a deep breath before responding.

"A few days ago, someone called Blake's phone. And-"

"Wait, was it him?" She asked, as if she could read my mind.

"Their shitty father? Yes, it was. He called Blake's phone and told him he would be coming," I told my best friend. Wait, how did she automatically know who I was talking about?

"When I came back to check on your apartment a week ago, I saw him standing outside the door asking a neighbor where you guys were. I went back to see if I had left my set of spare keys there, but turns out they were in my purse all along. Who knew-"

"Wait, how did he know we used to live there?" I exclaimed, the realization hitting me as my face paled.

"Oh shit, Gianna, you need to call the police." Harley told me.

"I talked about it with Damien, and he said I should call them but I told him I wouldn't do it yet, only if he tried to make any threats or try to harass any of us." I explained as Harley listened.

"Listen, if he tries to threaten you, then you better call the police right away." Harley said before a small voice in the background called for her. She turned towards the person and spoke with them before turning her attention back to me.

"That's Sadie, I have to go. Stay safe best friend and if he tries anything, I will kick your ass. Same with that boyfriend of yours," Harley said as I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"Bye Harley, merry early Christmas." I told her as we said our last goodbye's before hanging up.

I shut my laptop, rubbing my temples.

Hopefully Christmas was going to be better tomorrow.
