Gianna

"Merry Christmas!" I exclaimed, as all of my kids came down from their rooms. First, it was Aspen, who ran down and pushed the boys out of the way. Blake almost tripped over Max, my little birthday boy.

At the sight of the presents, she squealed.

Oh, what a drama Queen she was.

"There are so many presents!" She exclaimed, her eyes grateful and happy. Last year, I couldn't afford that many things and instead, got them one gift each, which they were grateful for. Well, I got Max two gifts, since it was his birthday and Christmas.

"Yes, now where is my birthday boy?" I asked.

Looking over, I noticed Blake had picked up Max, and gave him a hug. Once I called for him, Blake put Max down, and he ran over to me as I engulfed him in a hug.

"I'm here mama." He spoke, as I squeezed him tight. Once we finished with the hug, I kissed his forehead and ran over to Damien, who ruffed his hair and picked him up.

"Alright so since it's Max's birthday, he should get to open the first present!" Damien spoke, handing Max a gift. Watching them, I noticed how Damien cared for my children as if they were his own.

As the kids opened up presents, I walked over to Damien and he wrapped his hands around my waist.

"Merry Christmas." I said, giving him a kiss, which he returned.

"Okay guys, that's nasty." Blake said, as he covered Max's eyes.

"Yeah, get a room!" Aspen exclaimed, as we all laughed.

After opening presents and more gifts, we went to Damien's parents house to celebrate the holiday with his family, which was a good day, even though Damien's mom still didn't trust me and kept eyeing me down like I was the plague.

Time had flew by and it was currently nighttime, but not too late, around six or so. I was going to head home with my kids until I remembered Jackson inviting me over.

"Damien, I'm gonna go to Jackson's house with the kids." I told him.

"Okay, just be safe." Damien spoke, kissing me once again as I gave him a small smile. Calling for my three kids, I found Blake who was talking to a boy about basketball.

Once I had found Aspen and Max, we immediately got into the car.

"Aspen, hand me my phone from my purse." I told my daughter, as I fished through my coat to find my keys and start the car. Shortly, Aspen handed me my phone as I plugged the address he had sent me into the GPS.

"Here we go." I spoke, taking a deep breath and putting on some Christmas music for the kids while I listened to the directions of the GPS, making sure to be careful and not allow the car to slip on any ice since it was very cold in Idaho.

As we drove, I had some flashbacks of my family and I listening to Christmas music years ago. A small smile spread across my face remembering our Christmas traditions together, and how we went to church. Even though my family was religious, I didn't take my kids to the temples and stuff.

Driving down a long path-road, I noticed the amount of snow covering the small hills. Looking to my left, I mocked a large swing-set covered in snow, frozen and the swings were still.

'You have arrived at your destination', the GPS told me as I shut it off. Pulling into a driveway that had many cars, I looked in awe at the huge house that seemed to be lit up from the inside and out.

Shutting off the car and locking it, I motioned for Blake to pass me the small pile of desserts I had bought at a bakery earlier. I wasn't going to be rude and walk into the house without anything.

"Mom, are these people nice?" Aspen asked me, her bright green eyes looking up at me.

"Hopefully they are, now remember what we talked about, be nice. And I'm talking to you Aspen, no pissing any little boys off or starting fights with anyone, do you hear me?" I told her, as she nodded her head.

"Fine, I'll be good mommy." She told me, as I smiled.

Max immediately ran to ring the doorbell and Blake was playing some game on his old phone.

"Blake, off the phone and don't act like an ass to anyone, you hear me?" I told him.

"Yeah, I hear you, whatever." He spoke, rolling his eyes and putting his phone in his pocket. I scoffed as I had a flashback to my brothers acting like dicks to me.

Teenagers, I thought.

All of a sudden, someone opened the door, and we were met with the face of a woman with bright blond hair, and sparkling blue eyes, who looked familiar.

"Hey, welcome. You must be Jackson's friend, the one he works with?" She asked, sticking her hand out. With a smile, I gladly shook it.

"That I am," I told her, smiling. She did look fami-

Then it clicked, she was the woman who I was talking to on the plane, when she told me about her son who was a few years younger than Max.

"Hey, your the lady who was on the plane with us!" Aspen said from behind me, as she flashed Aspen a smile. Max grabbed my hand, hiding behind me, in a shy way. Blake just stood their awkwardly, not knowing what to say.

"Yeah I am, my name is-"

"Kayli, now I remember! I'm so sorry, I'm Gianna." I told her, as we laughed. Once we finished, she immediately took the small plate out of my hands.

"Follow me, I'm sure our guests would love to meet you." She spoke, leading us through some halls as kids ran around and laughed and other adults talked. I didn't really pay attention as Jackson came up to greet us along with Cooper.

"Hey Jackson!" I exclaimed, giving him a hug.

"Merry Christmas Gianna!" He said, giving me a small hug back.

"Hey, aren't you the boy we saw from the car?" Aspen sassed, as I gave her a look to tone it down.

"Yeah, I'm Cooper, what's your name?" He asked kindly.

"I'm Aspen, that's my older brother, Blake, and my younger brother, Max!" I exclaimed, as Max looked at Cooper and held onto me.

Max you could say was very shy.

"The guests are right this way." Jackson spoke, leading us to an area which look like a kitchen, dinning room, and living room combined. This house was very huge and very comfortable, with picture frames hanging everywhere.

"Hey everybody!" Jackson yelled, as everyone's heads snapped towards me.

Not paying attention to anyone, I smiled and looked around the room.

"This is my friend-"

"Gianna?" Someone whispered, as all heads turned to the source of the voice, including mine.

Pushing his way to the front of the crowd, my blood and all the air got sucked out of me. That voice rang thought out my head, as I felt all eyes on me curiously. That voice, I could pinpoint anywhere.

All of a sudden, he pushed his way through, and I looked at him with wide-eyes.

"O-Oh my god," I stuttered with shock.

"Shay?"

Okay, so I know Shay basically made a lot of bad choices, but stick with him for the storyline. After all, we have five more chapters after this, than an epilogue.

Question: If someone put a gun to your head and told you to recite a song perfectly from memory, which song would you sing?
