"movie day?" ian asked as ava plopped down on the couch next to max.
"i'm not watching chef again." ava huffed.
"can we watch taken with liam neesons?" max asked.
"neesons?" ava repeated.
"yeah, you know i will find you and i will kill you." max said in his deepest voice.
ava shook her head and laughed at his stupidity.
"taken it is." ian laughed, putting the disc in the dvd player.
"i'll go make some popcorn." max said, hopping over the couch.
"throw some shrimp on the barbie while you're at it!" ava yelled in an awfully obnoxious australian accent.
"we don't actually fucking say that!" max screamed angrily, earning laughs from ava and ian.
as soon as the opening credits rolled ava's phone started to ring.
"hey." ava smiled as she answered the facetime call.
"hey, ava!" joji slurred.
"you're drunk." ava said, letting out a small sigh.
"and really hor-" joji was cut off.
"don't finish that." ava warned, showing max and ian next to her.
"oh, hey guys." joji obnoxiously slurred, once again.
"so what are you up t-" this time ava was cut off.
"i have to go, we're almost at the studio." joji said before hanging up.
"what a dick." ava laughed.
"can we start the movie now?" max complained.
ava nodded and ian pressed play once again.

"i'm bored." max whined, not even thirty minutes into the movie.
"me too." ian agreed, pulling his phone out.
max pulled his phone out as well but he started to snapchat.
"joji, stop!" a squeaky voice giggled from his phone.
max's eyes widened at the sight.
"what was that?" ava asked curiously.
"oh um, nothing." max answered doing a horrible job of lying.
"let me see." ava pressured.
"it's just getter's snapchat." max tried to play it off.
"max, if you don't let me see your god damn phone i will rip it out of your hands along with your fingers." ava spoke with a malicious smile.
max gladly handed his phone over.
ava clicked on the story labeled 'getter'.
the video played of a small, giggling, intoxicated brunette sitting on joji's lap in the studio.
max and ian watched ava carefully.
