A/N: The previous first chapter made me cringe a little, so I decided to rewrite the whole thing. It will also be in the third point of view as well. Hopefully, this new version will intrigue new readers better.

It was another beautiful day in the mountains. The sun was beginning to set, causing rainbows to be reflected off of every surface. The birds were chirping happily, returning to their respective homes. However, the mood dimmed due to a particular girl.

An Asian girl stood at the top of a high cliff on the mountains, looking regretful and upset. For the past hour, she had withdrawn from the edge, only to return moments later. This time, she looks like she had finally made her decision. She fumbled with her fingers looking a little nervous.

Inside, she was relieved. With this, she could finally let go of her pain. She hopes this would cause great regret and pain to him, just like he did to her. She looked at the sun setting and saw all the colors intermixing, creating a beautiful sight. She wished she could be like that, instead of hating the world and constantly feeling sorry for herself. She felt like she had been engulfed by a dark hole, never seeing light again. This scenery was a wonderful last look at the world. At least not everything was ugly.

She took a small step forward, feeling her toes inching off the edge, almost flying. The wind ferociously attacked her as if willing her to stop. But she wouldn't. Couldn't. This is it, she thought. There was nothing left for her in this world, no one who would even notice that she was gone. Her tears started prickling at the thought; she should have tried harder. There were so, so many regrets. Which is why she has to do this.

She slowly rose her feet in front of her, closing her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she willed all of her courage to come forth. Then, for the first time in her life, Ayano flew.
