Ross's POV"Good morning," I said smoothly as I sat down on my seat at the dining room table and everyone looked at me amused. "Good morning, honey. Sleep well?" my mom asked and I smiled softly. "Yes I did, thank you. How about Mom?" I asked and she got a small smile on her face. "Yes thank you," she said before taking a sip of her tea. I poured myself some coffee and as I took a sip I noticed my siblings looking at me. "What?" I asked confused before taking another gulp of my hot drink. "Why are you so happy? You've been like this ever since the day we had lunch with the Karstens. Why?" Ratliff asked and I couldn't contain my small smile. "No reason, per say. Can't I just be happy?" I shrugged and he looked at me suspiciously. "Does it have something to do with the princess?" Rocky piped in with a bitter tone and I looked at him. "Maybe," I shrugged and saw him roll his eyes. "What's your problem, Rocky?" I asked and it fell silent around the breakfast table as he glared at me. "You're my problem, Ross. You haven't even given me a chance at the crown or to win over the princess," he hissed at me and I rolled my eyes. "Oh please, brother. Don't blame me for not having the courage to even ask the princess to dance," I said bitterly and he clenched his jaw.
"You never gave me time to! I deserve my fair chance at the crown, Ross!" Rocky yelled in rage and I scoffed. "Please! You see that's the difference between you and me! You're just in this for a crown and I'm not!" I said loudly and he sneered. "So what is it that you want? Sex?" he asked and I felt myself snap like a rubber band. Before I realised what I was doing, I stood up causing my chair to hit the ground and I slammed my fist on the table, the cutlery and plates vibrating on it and everyone looked at me shocked. "You will not speak that way about Rochè ever again! She is a woman who deserves to be treated with the utmost respect and loyalty! Something that you'll never be able to give her because you're only someone who wants to run the country and he doesn't give a shit about the people it hurts in the process!" I yelled out all in one breath and he stood up, also banging his fists on the table. "I will not allow you to speak to me like that! I'm a man of values, but being king of this country has always been a lifelong dream!" he yelled at me. "Well then snap back to reality because I won't let anyone come between Rochè and I especially not you!" I yelled while pointing a finger at him.
"Enough!" my father's loud and deep voice boomed through the air causing both of us to look at him. "Go cool off, Ross! Rocky you will not speak like that of the princess! Calm down, both of you!" he yelled furiously and I glared at Rocky one last time before storming out of the house or as everyone likes to call it, the castle.
All that I saw was red and I wasn't thinking clearly. My brain was screaming with thoughts of the beautiful Rochè and before I fully realised what I was doing, I was walking into the Karsten's dining room with Charlotte walking by my side. The Karsten family looked at me with warm smiles on their faces, but I could only look at one person in the room. Rochè. Her beautiful smile was making me weak at my knees and I was afraid that I was going to collapse then and there.
"Hello, Ross. What a pleasure of you to come and join us! Please take a seat," James motioned to the empty seat next to Rochè. "Are you alright, honey? You looked torn," Clarisse mentioned as I sat down and I gave her a warm smile. "I'm really sorry for barging in like this and ruining your breakfast. I just needed to get out of the castle for a bit," I blurted out and James gave me a warm smile. "You don't have to apologise, Ross, and you're not ruining our breakfast. Have you eaten yet?" he asked and I then noticed that they didn't have food in front of them either. The table was still set perfectly, giving you the impression that they hadn't eaten yet. "Uhm no. I'm sorry again for barging in-" "Oh nonsense! We also make more than enough food so there's for you too. Would you like to join us for breakfast?" Clarisse asked with a motherly tone and I gave her a smile. "I don't want to be a nausea. I honestly don't know why I came here," I confessed before Rico spoke up. "You aren't a nausea! Besides we actually like you! And Mother's right there's always food left over that goes to waste. And don't worry about just suddenly showing up. It makes my mornings much more exciting," Rico shrugged and I chuckled at his confession. "Isn't that right, Rochè?" Rico asked with a teasing smirk and I looked at the blushing girl besides me as she hummed. "You would be right, brother," she said speaking up for the first time that morning before making eye contact with me. "Please tell the staff to set another place for Prince Ross and dish up an extra plate," James requested one of the many butlers they had and he said an 'of course your Majesty' before scurrying off to the kitchen. In seconds there was someone setting a place in front of me and I thanked the girl before she walked off.
The food came and honestly it looked delicious. There was a small bowl of fruit salad next to all of us and on our plates were scrambled eggs with bacon, toast, sausages, fried mushrooms and tomatoes. A meal fit for a king. I chuckled softly to myself at my lame joke and saw Rico raising a curious eyebrow before James spoke up. "Let's say grace," he said and we all took hands. As my hands touched Rochè's a spark ran through my body. James said grace before we all let go of each other's hands and I felt a small pang of disappointment hit me as Rochè's hand left mine.
"The food is delicious," I said as after chewing a piece of the eggs and Clarisse smiled at me. "I'm glad you like it, honey," "So why did you feel the need to escape your castle?" Rico asked and Rochè scolded at him as I chuckled softly. "Just some sibling rivalry. I'm sure you two know all about that," I teased them and Rochè hummed. "Just do what Rochè and I do. Fight each other with swords. Someone may bleed a little, but oh well," Rico shrugged and I laughed as Rochè looked at him like he was insane. "When have we ever done that you idiot?" she asked and I laughed a little more. "I have the marks to prove it," Rico said confidently and Rochè rolled her eyes. "Oh please. You got all of those marks because you're clumsy and have to left feet," Rochè shot back and we all chuckled.

"You look beautiful," I breathed out as I pulled Rochè closer to me and she giggled softly. We were in the same room as the other day. The living room basically. We finished breakfast a while ago and it was delicious. Rico had gone to do some training and I don't know where the King and Queen are. I think they have a business meeting about Rochè becoming Queen, but I'm not sure.
"Thank you," she said softly as I nudged our noses together. "My pleasure," I mumbled against her mouth and her beautiful giggles filled the air causing butterflies to fly around in my stomach.
The things this girl could do to me.
"What really happened at your house, Ross?" Rochè asked softly as she pulled away and I shrugged. "I don't want to worry you, love," I said and she blushed. "C'mon, Ross. You need to talk to someone and I'll be more than happy to be that person," she said and I pulled her down to the couch. "Rocky and I had a fight, again. He just said something that he shouldn't have and I snapped," I shrugged and she frowned. "What'd he say?" she asked gently as she ran her small fingers through my hair, causing my tense body to melt into her touch. I leaned back into the expensive couch and pulled her even closer to me. She turned her body slightly to face me as she placed her legs between mine, over my lap. I rested my right hand just above her knee and wrapped my left arm around her waist, pulling her closer.
I sighed before starting to tell her the story because I knew she deserved to know. "And then he asked if I only wanted you for sex. After that I kinda just snapped," I finished and she frowned deeply with a hurt expression in her eyes. "I'm not that cheap," she mumbled and I kissed her head. "I know that, but don't worry both my dad and I gave him a mouthful because he said that. Don't bother yourself about him," I said and she hummed. "You're right I shouldn't. You're so sweet you know that?" she asked as she placed her head in my neck and I grinned down at her. "Oh am I now?" I asked teasingly and she giggled. "Yeah," she breathed out against my skin causing shivers to run through my body and I heard her chuckle at my reaction, obviously seeing the goosebumps that rose all over my body.
I grabbed her cheek gently in my right hand, lifting her head up. As her beautiful grey eyes met mine, I leaned forward and placed my lips on hers, without hesitation. She immediately kissed me back with so much passion that it made my body tingle all over.
"You're amazing, Ross," Rochè breathed out as we pulled away and I blushed lightly. "You are too," I said before she placed her lips on mine again.
