Roché Harmony Karsten.
A name that makes people stand upright and immediately pay attention.
Roché is the princess of Europe. It seems crazy, but it's true. With her 21st birthday around the corner, the princess is in search for someone who will s...
"Princess Rochè," I heard and turned around to look at the blonde Lynch. "Prince Rocky?" I questioned and he chuckled. "Ross," he corrected me and I blushed.
"You will have to excuse me. I'm horrible with names," I said and he grinned at me. "We all have something that we're not really good at," he said in a smooth voice and I blushed lightly. "And what's yours, Ross?" I asked and he grinned. "I'm really nervous around beautiful women. Especially when I want to ask them to dance with me," he said and I blushed. "Are you nervous right now?" "It feels like my heart is climbing out of my throat," he said and I giggled.
"Could I have this dance?" Ross asked as he held his big hand out and I gently placed my hand on his. We walked to the dance floor before he took my right hand and gently placed his left hand on my hip and I placed my hand on his blazer clad shoulder.
"You look beautiful, Rochè," Ross said and I blushed lightly. "You look handsome as well. So why did you decide to move?" I asked as we danced on the pace of the music and he smiled at me.
"Well our family's getting bigger. Rydel and Ellington are married. They're probably going to have children soon. Riker is planning on proposing to Savannah, or so I think, and they're old enough to start a family. We're still going to get married and have families so we're going to need a bigger castle, so Father decided that we should move," he said and I nodded my head. "You want a family?" I asked and he smiled. A beautiful smile.
"I would love to have a family. A daughter and a son. Maybe more children, but I want a son first. So that he can protect his sister and always be there for her," he said and I smiled at him. "You impress me, Ross," I said and he rose an eyebrow. "And why is that?" he asked. "Well small things. When you said you wanted a son first, it wasn't because you want him to be the next King it's because you want him to protect your future daughter. Most royal families just have children because they want someone to carry on the name or to be next in line, but that's not what came out of your mouth. It's the small things that makes the most difference," I said and he pulled me closer and I had no objections.
"Well we're not like most royal families. I want to have children because I love them and I want the right mother for them. We're different. We don't walk around in suits the whole day, we walk around in jeans and sweats," he said and I sighed.
"I can't even remember when I walked around in sweats. I can't even sleep in them," I said and he gasped jokingly. "Well then you'll have to come and visit me. We'll have to have a lazy day sometimes," he said and I giggled.
"That sounds heavenly. And we have to buy lots of candy and greasy food. I don't think I've ever tasted a greasy fast food hamburger," I said and he widened his eyes.
"You're joking," he said and I shook my head. "Nope. I've had a hamburger, but not a fast food one. We run the country. We're not supposed to buy greasy fast food hamburgers and walk around in sweats. I have to wear a dress and heels everyday and the men have to wear their suits, except for Rico he was never one to wear a suit willingly. We have to have breakfast at a certain time in the dining room, then I have training. I have my princess duties then I have lunch with Mother. After lunch I have horseback riding and then tennis, but only on certain days. Sometimes I have gymnastics. Then I have about an hour for myself and after that piano lessons. Later it's dinner with the family, a shower, relaxing time and then I sleep," I said and he looked at me in disbelief.
"It sounds like your day is all planed out for you. Do you decide what you want to do?" he asked me and I shrugged.
"Only certain things. Other things are decided for me," I said and he frowned. "That's rough. And what happens when you get married?" Ross asked and I sighed. "I don't even want to know," I said truthfully and he chuckled. It was one of the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
"Maybe your schedule won't be so packed then. Maybe you'll be forced to spend time with your husband," he said and I chuckled lightly. "Maybe that won't be so bad then," I said before his eyes lit up slightly. "What would happen if you just suddenly disappear?" Ross asked and I rose an eyebrow.
"Well, I don't know. I have nothing to do for the rest of the night and the dinner is finished so nothing bad would happen. But people would wonder where I am," I said and he nodded.
"And what would happen if you told someone you were going to go to your room and nobody was allowed to disturb you?" he asked curiously and I looked at him suspiciously. "Why would I want to do that?" I asked and he smirked.
"I know the best burger shop in town. They sell great everything," he said and I looked at his face. "Would you like to go and eat a greasy hamburger with an unhealthy milkshake and fries?" he asked and I chuckled.
"You're serious?" I asked and he hummed. "I am. Would you want to come with me?" he asked and I smiled. "I would love to, Ross. But how does your escape plan work?" I asked and he chuckled.
"Well, would the guards notice if you walked out?" he asked and I rose an eyebrow. "You're joking right?" "Okay, so I'm taking that as a yes. What if we steal one of the cars outside? Maybe the mayor's?" he asked and I giggled. "That's a no. But we could take my car or yours if you have one," I said and he nodded.
"That would work, but how are we going to get you out of here?" he asked and I smirked. We were still dancing. "I have one of those vines next to my balcony. I sneaked out once or twice and the guards always kept my secrets. We could climb out there," I said and he nodded. "I'm going to go and get my car. How about I meet you at the castle's gate?" Ross asked and I nodded.
"Okay. See you in a bit," I said and he nodded before the music ended and we walked off the dance floor.
I walked to where my father was talking and placed my hand on his arm. "Excuse me gentlemen, could I have my father for a second?" I asked and we walked a couple of steps away from them. "Everything alright?" "Would it be a problem if I go to bed? I'm feeling really tired and I haven't been sleeping well, at all," I answered my father's question and he frowned. "Of course honey. Call me if you need anything, alright?" Father asked and I nodded my head. "I would prefer it if no one interrupted me," I said and he nodded.
I walked up the stairs and into my huge room, locking the door behind me. I swiftly walked to my walk-in closet and unzipped my dress, letting it fall gently on the floor. I put on some jeans and a sweater before I grabbed one of my pairs of ballerina shoes and left my hair like it was. I placed my phone in my jean pocket and walked out of my closet and onto the balcony. "I haven't done this in five years," I mumbled to myself before swinging my leg over the railings.
