Ross's POV

My eyes opened to the sharp light falling on them and a weight on my chest. I stifled a yawn and looked down at my beautiful fiancé with a smile.

Her two French braids were laying on her shoulders and her breathing was steady, even. Her thick eye lashes laid heavily on her cheeks and her face was completely relaxed. Her silk night gown was brushing gently against my arm.

Last night I officially proposed to Rochè. It was an amazing night and it was filled with congratulations from everyone. Everyone except a certain someone.

Flashback
"So," he started as he stood in front of me and I already knew it wasn't going to be pretty. "I see you finally got her to marry you. After, what, four weeks? You must have worked so hard," he said casually with sarcasm dripping from his tone.

"Don't do this here. Can't you just be happy for me?" I asked softly and he scoffed. "Oh, please. Boo-hoo. Poor Ross. I'm not going to fall for your tricks. You know I wanted to be king," he said.

"Exactly," I hissed softly, "you only wanted to be king. I'm in love with Rochè. I love her not the title that comes along with her,"

"Yeah right,"

"I thought brothers were supposed to be happy for each other," I said and Rocky rolled his eyes.

"Everything alright here?" a gentle voice asked as an arm got laced with mine and my heart skipped a beat. As I looked down my heart fluttered and I couldn't stop my small smile.

"Yeah everything's okay. Just talking," I told my fiancé and she nodded with a smile before looking at Rocky. "You make me sick," Rocky spat at Rochè. She gasped softly as he stormed away. I was about to go after him before a hand got laid on my chest.

"Please don't," Rochè begged and I sighed before nodding. "Please ignore him. He's just mad he's not going to be king," I said and she nodded softly.
End of flashback

I haven't heard from Rocky since he stormed out last night. Not that I wanted to talk to him anyway. Speaking to my fiancé that way - whether she is a princess or not - was completely unacceptable.

Suddenly a felt a slap on my cheek and looked at Rochè in distraught. "Why'd you do that?" I cried and held my cheek in shock. She was also straddling me.

Wait wasn't she asleep?

"I've been trying to get your attention for the past ten minutes!" Rochè exclaimed in dispirit and I chuckled softly. "Well I'm sorry, Love. I was just thinking about last night," I informed her and she blushed softly.

Suddenly a knock was heard on Rochè's bedroom door and she frowned. "Nobody ever bothers this early," she informed me as she stood up and wrapped the satin robe around herself.

She opened the door just enough for her face to be shown. She was talking to an unknown voice so I am assuming it was maybe a butler. "Thank you," Rochè said before closing the door again and slipping back into bed.

"We're having lunch with the family at 1pm. My family and yours," she said as I wrapped my arms around her again. I buried my face in her neck, inhaling her intoxicating and unexplainable scent as she lightly ran her fingers up and down my back.

"As much as I'd love to stay like this I have a meeting with UNICEF in two hours. I have to shower and get ready," Rochè broke the comforting silence between us and I looked up at her.

"Can I join?" I asked cheekily and she giggled. "No. Wait for our wedding night and I'll promise to make it worth your wait," she said before softly kissing my cheek and I shivered lightly.
