Ross's POV

The dinner and everything was over, everyone retreated to the ball room for a night of dancing. I haven't even gotten a chance to really speak to my fiancée.

As soon as I saw her alone I took my chance and quickly walked to her.

"Princess," I bowed and a wild blush took over her cheeks before I stood straight again. "You look extraordinary," I whispered and she smiled shyly. "Thank you, Ross. You look just as handsome," she said and I smiled before staring deeply into her eyes.

"May I have this dance?" I asked and just as she was about to reply her father appeared next to us

"May I have this dance?" I asked and just as she was about to reply her father appeared next to us. "Ah, prince Ross. You look wonderful tonight. Would you mind me stealing my daughter for a quick second to let the mayor say hello?" James asked and Rochè's face fell.

The mayor was a really jolly man. He was bald and had a big round stomach and he kept talking non stop. You certainly don't get away from him easily.

"Of course," I smiled and Rochè smiled apologetically. "Save that dance for me alright?" Rochè asked and I nodded before she walked to the grinning mayor.

"Do you have the ring?" James whispered and I nodded. He and Carissa were the only ones who knew about my plan. "Yes it's in my pocket," I confirmed and he nodded before smiling warmly. "Welcome to the family, son," he said and I grinned before sticking out my hand.

He ignored my hand before pulling me into a man hug and I immediately hugged back. It was extremely uncommon to see the king hugging anyone and that's why this hug had so much attention and whispers going through the ball room.

"Do you promise to treat my daughter right and not to walk out when it gets hard?" James asked and I nodded. "I promise with everything that I am," I replied and he nodded with a smile and pat my back before walking off.

I chuckled quietly to myself as Rochè looked at me with begging eyes. "Excuse me," I said to the group of government people before walking over to the mayor and my fiancée.

"Ah, prince Lynch!" he exclaimed joyfully causing me to chuckle before grinning at him. "Hello, Mr mayor. Would you mind if I steal the princess for a dance?" I asked even though he couldn't refuse. His fave turned serious before he nodded. "Oh. Yes yes. No, of course," he said before bowing to us and quickly walking away.

"Thank you," Rochè sighed in relief causing me to chuckle before I gave her my hand. "I saved you that dance," I said and she grinned before placing my hand in hers. We walked to the middle of the dancefloor and as soon as we were there people moved away to look at us. This was Rochè's first dance for the night, hence the attention.

"You're breathtaking," I whispered to her and she blushed before placing her forehead on mine. "So are you," she said and I looked at the band. As soon as I made eye contact with the lead singer the song changed and I spoke softly. "I need to ask you something," I whispered and Rochè rose an eyebrow.

I seperated slightly from her before taking both her hands in mine. By this time everyone's eyes was on us and the music was playing soft enough so that everyone would hear me saying the next words:

"Rochè, the first time I met you I felt my whole world flip. You were breathtaking. I still remember our first dance, our first date. My love, when I look into your eyes used a future. Our future. I see us holding a small baby while sitting at the fireplace. I see us on our wedding day. I see my life. I have never met anyone who means this much to me or who can make me feel the way you do. It scares me because I've never felt this way. Rochè I had this huge speech planed in my head, but now that I'm actually doing this all I can focus on is you beauty," I said and she blushed wildly before biting her lip.

"Rochè Harmony Karsten," I said and I grabbed the box out of my pocket and heard people gasp loudly as I kneeled down on one knee. "Would you do me the extreme honour of becoming my wife?" I asked softly and she placed a hand over her mouth with tears streaming down her face. I opened the box and her eyes widened.

"Yes," she sobbed out and loud cheers filled the room as I slipped the ring onto her finger. I immediately pulled her into my arms before she smashed her lips against mine.

"I love you so much," she whispered and I pecked her lips. I love you too, princess," I teased and she giggled before placing her lips on mine.
