Chapter 39

Ryan's POV

"I can't afford what he's asking" I say placing Amber on my hip as Molly pulls down my bed, I told her not to worry about it but she wants to do her chores so she doesn't get in trouble.

"What are you going to do?" She asks, I sigh and look at Amber. Chloe's owner is asking so much for her and I can't afford it, my dad buys all the slaves.

"I don't know" I whisper as Amber starts playing with my hair, I want Chloe apart of her life.

"Ryan she's my best friend" Molly whispers "there must be something we can do" she adds standing up properly, I stay looking at Amber. My beautiful daughter, I'm so scared ill lose her as well

"Unless you have that much money then there's nothing"  I whisper, she sighs and says night then walks out of my room.

"You ready for bed sweetheart?" I ask as I look at Amber, she shakes her head I smile

"No" she says as she keeps shaking her head, then stops. I smile and walk over to my bed

"Well Daddy is and you've already stayed up past your bedtime" I say laying her down, I tuck some hair behind her ear as she yawns. "See your tied" i says lightly tickling her belly, she smiles and giggles. I kiss her forehead and get in bed with her, I pull her close and she cuddles into me.

I did say she sleeps in my bed most nights, I turn my lamp off and lay on my back as I feel Amber laying on me. I wish Chloe was here, I remember the day she was taken away as if it was yesterday.

*** flashback***

I was on my way to the hospital, the results where coming back today and my father wanted me there. Just because his an asshole, I park my car and get out before going into the hospital.

I go to Chloe's room and see my dad already there paying no attention to Chloe, he was texting on his phone as Chloe held Amber close.

"Dad" I say he looks up and smiles at me

"Ryan are you ready to be a dad?" My father asks I roll my eyes and walk over to Chloe, he already knows so why not?. I sit beside her on the bed putting my arm over her shoulder, I look down at Amber as does Chloe.

My fathers phone rings and he answers it and starts talking, I caress ambers cheek as she's in Chloe's arms

"I-I'm scared" Chloe whispers, I sigh and kiss her forehead

"It will be okay" I whisper but she shakes her head just as the doctor comes in with the results

*** end of flashback***
