Chapter 23

Ryan's POV

I clicked on a person who I thought was Chloe's brother, once his file came up I was corrected bye seeing her name in his family list. The photo of him looked recent, Chloe looked a lot like him. You could tell they where related, they both had the blonde hair with green eyes.

I started reading his file, he stayed with his parents most of his life unlike Chloe. He had been kept instead of sold, until recently? I looked and seen the person who 'owns'Chloe's parents just recently sold him into the slave Auction.

I wonder why?, I wonder what happened? Maybe the guy needed to down size on slaves. I leaned back as I looked at his name, I press print and it prints out of the printer in my office, I take the paper and see, what auction his at as well as all the normal stuff that I just read.

I get up and walk out of my office, i walkover to dads office. I go to walk in but stop when I remember what happened last time so I knock, I do not want to see that again

"Yeah" I hear dad say, I walk in and see my mother isn't in here. I shut the door and walk over sitting in one of the chairs in front of dads desk, he watches me as I place the paper in front of him. He picks up the paper and starts reading over it.

"What's this?" He asks

"What do you think dad" I say, he laughs a little

"Well I know what it is, but what's the point of it?" He asks, I sigh here we go

"Well you know Chloe's a good worker.."

"Doesn't mean her brother will be" my father cuts me off, I roll my eyes

"You don't know that" I say standing up and walking over to his glass windows, dads view isn't as good as mine

"Why do you want her brother anyway?" He asks

"Dad it's not the fact his her brother, it's the fact we need someone else sense you had sold, I don't know his name, that guy with the black hair. So I was looking at people who could fit what we normally get and well yeah" I say, that's a total lie, I was just checking Chloe's file out but my dad doesn't need to know that.

"There's auctioning each day isn't there" dad asks even tho he knows "go today don't go over $10,000 okay" he says

"Aren't you going to come?" I ask

"I have stuff to go here sense you'll be gone, if you don't get him for $10,000 get someone else your right we need someone" he says, I nod and go to walk out before my dad says my name I turn to look at him

"Do you have feelings for Chloe?" He ask, i stop breathing for a second. Why would he ask that? He can't possibly know can he?

"No why, she's just a slave" I say acting normal

"Just wondering" he says, I sigh and leave his office, I go back to my office and check what time the auction is on. I'd love to be able to do this for Chloe, I hope I can get him.
