Chapter 6

"Where are the girls?" Kevin stood next to Christopher in the entrance of the plaza hotel. They had a huge holiday party for thanksgiving that the company gave each year and everyone was in attendance.

"They are on their way... I had some stuff to do and I couldn't wait for them."

"Aright. Well mom and dad are also on their way." Kevin turned to walk away.

"Kevin..." Christopher put his hand on his brother's shoulder. "we should not be arguing."

"We are not arguing brother... it is simple I want to spend the rest of my life with her an even though you want the same thing you are scared to admit it but I will make sure she doesn't spends the rest of her life waiting around for you."

"Ke..." just as he was about to talk he looked at the top of the stairs and his heart skipped a beat.

At the top of the stairs was Rosemary and Arabella in matching turquoise dress both puffy both with black shoes and black bows in the hair. Christopher felt good because his tie matched them. I can love her and be with her forever, give my daughter a mom and make sure they lived happily ever after he thought as she walked down the stairs blushing.

"Hey beautiful." Kevin walked up and kissed her cheek. She blushed and turned to Christopher but he just looked down at Aries.

"My... My... I have to have the most beautiful little girl in front of me no questions asked...

"and the most beautiful big girl too daddy." She said smiling at Rosemary.

"Yes I do.... I mean yes she is." He smiled at Rosemary "you look incredible."

"Thank your sir."

"Christopher, please Rosemary."

"Okay." She blushed and looked down at Arabella and pretended to fix her bow.

"please stay close I want everyone to see and meet Aries and you of course." Christopher smiled.

"Of course." Rosemary smiled and took Aries hand in hers. "You ready princess?"

"Yes!" she jumped up and in her other hand took her dads hand.

After about two hours Christopher looked at Aries and Rosemary and they looked bored out of their minds playing with each other but bored. He smiled internally and turned to them.

He bowed "may I have a dance with the two most beautiful ladies here?"

"you two go ahead..."

"nope I said both." Christopher smiled and turned to Rosemary. 'both' he mouthed.

"yes! Let's go Rosemary!" Aries pulled them both to the dance floor and they started dancing in a circle laughing hysterically.

"I never thought I would see my little boy laugh like that again." Kevin heard his mom say and he felt a little pride but he knew the game he was playing and he had to complete the mission.

"with the girl I am with..."

"the girl you are pretending to like son but they are obviously crazy about each other." Kevin's mom took his hand in hers. "he lost the most important person in his life... of course he is scared to start over Kevin I would be to."

"Not with her mom... she has been constant in his life and clearly loves Aries, mom... plus maybe I want to watch him lose one"

"this is not another competition Kevin this is his happiness and Aries and Rosemary's."

Kevin smiled evilly at his mom "Isn't everything a competition mother... since we were kids."

"Stop!" his mom looked mad.

"Oh come on mom..."

"no Kevin he has been thru enough and why is everything a competition between you both, plus you don't even like the girl like that... don't think I don't know you."

Kevin looked up Rosemary and Christopher were slow dancing to a song smiling and Arabella was dancing with their dad.

"You are a pretty good dancer." Rosemary smiled.

"I would hope since I had classes for about ten years." Christopher smiled and dipped Rosemary pulling her even closer to him.

"well that would explain so much." She laughed and put her forehead against Christopher's cheek.

They danced for a while and then eventually he felt her get tired. "you ready to go home?"

"Yes please." She smiled and turned to find Bart, Christopher's dad, and took Arabella in her arms since she was sleeping.

Bart kissed her cheek followed by Elizabeth Christopher's mom. "have a nice night, message me when you get home please."

"We will..."

"Here hand her to me." Christopher took Aries in his arms and held on to Rosemary's hand without thinking about it.

As they were beginning to walk away Kevin walked up. "Oh no are you leaving already..." he pulled Rosemary away.

"yeah... I am so..."

"no you have to stay..." Kevin smiled at her.

"no..." she smiled shyly at him.

"Please stay Rosemary we can have a lot of fun."

Rosemary looked at the disappointed face Christopher had and knew that he would make her regret it because he didn't feel the same way but she turned to Kevin "no I am tired and heading home but thank you."

"Alright then." He smiled and pulled her into a hug and kissed her cheek.

"Goodnight Kevin." Christopher smiled and took Rosemary's hand and led them to the entrance where the limo was waiting for them.

Christopher looked at Rosemary who was holding Aries legs and smiled. "Did you have a nice night?"

She turned to him her head resting on the seat and gave him a wide smile. "I did, I had a great night thank you."

"I did to." He took her hand in his and without thinking leaned in and kissed her.
