Chapter 8

It had been about a month since the incident with Rosemary and in all honesty Christopher had not made up his mind yet he walked out of his study and found Rosemary on a ladder cleaning some dust of some shelfs in Arabella's room.

"Rosemary." He whispered and she was so focused that she jumped and fell of the latter. She landed on the floor with a thud.

Christopher ran up and shook her softly. "Rosemary! Hey Rosemary!" he shook her a little harder "Honey! Hey Rosemary! Please hey get up!"

Arabella walked up and started crying. "Daddy is Rosemary okay?"

"Shh sweetie hold on."

After a while Rosemary came to and looked around a little bewildered she was lying in a hospital bed and Christopher was sitting on a chair with Arabella sleeping on his lap.

"Hey" he looked up really happy.

"What happened?" she looked at the cup of water as he handed it to her.

"You fell of a ladder... how do you feel?"

"I am okay I just feel a little dizzy."

"I'll get the doctor..." he stood and fixed Arabella in his arms.

"lay her here with me... I will keep an eye on her." She smiled at Aries as he laid her down.

He watched the happiness in her face and could not help but lean in and kiss her softly.

"I'll be right back." He walked out and went to the nurse's station and asked for the doctor he had a huge smile on his face and turned the corner back to her room when he looked up and saw Arabelle's parents watching him.

"Christopher how are you?"

He walked up slowly and hugged them. "I am doing okay how are you both doing?"

"We are good... visiting a friend but we are leaving now... are you okay is Arabella okay?"

"No, we are good... we are here with her Nannie, she fell of a ladder." He couldn't help but smile.

Arabelle's mom turned sharp when she saw his smile. "Well I hope you are not messing around with the help betraying my daughter because you swore to be faithful."

He looked up a little and felt guilty. "I..."

"Don't bother I can see that you forgot my daughter already." She turned away and walked away.

Before her husband followed he smiled "She misses her and still grieves that's why she won't see Aries but... it's good for you to move on even if she is the help."

Christopher stood in front of Rosemary's door not being able to go in. He had sworn and just like that it was like It didn't matter, like she was nothing to him but that ended now he would stop seeing Rosemary as anything more than a nanny.

Rosemary watched Christopher walk in serious and grab Arabella and turn to leave.

"Are you okay?"

"I am fine Rosemary, let me know if you need any help or anything the doctor is coming and I will see you at the house when you are discharged." He walked out the door and Rosemary hated to admit but she felt a sharp pain in her heart she knew this would happen and she had let it happen anyways.
