It's 3:50 AM and I needed something to do.

Elaina's POV

"So, is she mad?" I heard the red haired boy in the driver seat next to me ask while he focused on the road to my house

"I don't know, I've never heard her this upset over something before." I say quietly pulling my knotted hair into a messy bun.

"She's fucking pissed." Katie mumbled in the back seat behind me.

"Maybe I could come in and talk to her, and apologise for what happened?" He suggested in a concerned tone.

"No, no you have nothing to be sorry for, just drop us off and i'll be okay." I shake my head to his suggestion.

We drive until we pull into the street both Josh, and I's house were located on. He pulled up on the curb in front of my house. I looked to find my mom standing on the front porch flashing a death glare at me, then katie, then she folded her arms across her chest and made her way to the car.

"Rest is peace Elle." Josh says quietly shutting the car off.

I put my phone in my back pocket, and then opened the car door to face the wrath my mother was bound to throw upon me.

"Elaina Lynn what the hell were you thinking going out without telling me or your father where you were!" My mother yelled marching across the grass towards me.

"Mom, I forgot that you were flying back in last nigh-" I was cut off again by the short woman in front of me.

"How could you be selfish! You could have been dead in a ditch for all I knew!" She retorted

"Mrs Lynn, I understand where you're coming from. But Elle needed something to get her mind off of the whole 'situation'." Josh came around, air quoting the word "Situation"

My mother went silent, remembering the day I called her crying on the phone about what had happened with Jake. Her eyes darted to the floor then back at my face. Her eyes glossy with tears threatening to spill.

"Oh my baby.." She gave in wrapping her arms around me in comfort and guilt. "I'm so sorry honey, I should have known better than to get upset at you." She said rubbing my back in comfort.

"Its okay momma, I forgive you." I say pulling away and wiping the tears rolling down her face.

Josh walked next to me, Katie had already walked into my house without permission as always making herself at home.

My mom gestured for Josh and I to come into the house. "Come on I made lunch." She says leading us into the house.

Everyone was seated at the dining room table with pasta on plates in front of them. Josh sat next to me, David and Katie sat next to each other, wile Mom and Dad sat at the ends of the table.

"So, Josh. You're the boy I saw in my daughters bed while we were leaving before our vacation?" My father broke the silence that filled the room.

"Dad!" I whined in embarrassment of him bringing up the subject.

"No, Elle its okay. Your dad deserved an apology from me after walking in on that." Josh says looking at me. "Mr.Lynn I am sorry, I had no intention of taking advantage of your daughter, I was just comforting her after what had happened." Josh apologized to my father in a rather embarrassed and scared.

"Don't worry kid, I'm not mad. I know it was just a friendly thing." My dad smiles at the anxious red head.

"So, Elle, whats your boyfriend do for a living?" David snickered looking at me.

"He's not my boy-" I was cut off by the voice of the boy next to me.

"I'm in a band, with my best friend." Josh said quickly.

I watched as my Mother and Father shot concerned looks at each other from across the table. My parents always wanted me to date, or marry a smart, and rich boy when I was older. Meaning they were hoping I would bring home a Dental Hygienist, or a Doctor, or a Lawyer. Not a drummer of a band.

"A band?" My father asked

"Yeah daddy.. He's actually in a world famous band. It's the one Katie and I saw a few weeks ago." I looked over at Katie then back at my dad.

"Oh! Really?" My dads tense body relaxed after hearing that.

"Isn't it called like Twenty One Airplanes?" My mother tries to recall

Katie and I begin a fit of laughter slowly face palming our self's. While Josh beside me tried his best to keep his cool and not join us in the fit of laughter.

"It's Twenty One Pilots ma'am." Josh polity corrects the woman I call mom at the end of the table.

"That's a dumb name." David retorts, killing my giggle buzz and making me kick him from under the table.

"Where the hell are your manners Dave?" I say after kicking his leg

"It's fine, It wasn't my decision for the name." The red head besides me explains before taking a bite of the pasta in front of him.

Twisting my fork in the pasta, I listen to my mom and my dad ramble on their trip with Cindy her husband. They had gone to Hawaii, and did a bunch of touristy things like they always do going to new places.

"That sounds really cool!" Josh says after my dad talked about how they rode horses along the beach. "My best friend and I are leaving for our European tour in a month." Josh explained, leading to my parents eyes widening at the sign of each other after hearing what Josh has said.

"Oh i've always wanted to go to Europe!." My mom whined at the thought of it.

"It's going to be my second time going." Josh said.

My parents continued to question Josh about his adventures on tour with Tyler. Katie had gone home after she finished her plate of food while Josh and I helped clean up lunch. Josh brought all of the dishes to the kitchen sink while Mom and I washed them.

My dad took Josh with him into the living room to converse about what ever they wanted.

"So Josh is kinda cute." My mom nudged my arm next to me.

"We're just friends." I assure

"Friends that sleep in the same bed, hang out 24/7 for the last two weeks?" My mom points out

"Okay, Sure I like the guy, and he likes me back. But I'm just not sure I'm ready to move on. Not until I'm assured that Jake is for sure getting locked away for what he did." I explain drying the dish my mom handed me

"I'm so sorry he did that to you honey." My mom said with a lump growing in her throat.

"Don't be sorry momma. Jake did what he did, and its his fault." I say.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE CHAPTER BUT THERE'S A TIME SKIP IN THE NEXT ONE SOOOOO YEEAH THINGS ARE GOING TO MOVE ON FROM BORING SHIT SORRY
