Jubilife City's School of the Arts

Chapter 2

"DREW!!!"

"AAAGGHHHH!!!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR MAY?!!?"

"Sorry! I told you I'd let you know when we were close!" I apologized quickly.

"Well couldn't you have just poked me?!" He asked.

"Well where's the fun in that? Come on Drew! We're getting ready to land in Oreburgh City!" I replied happily!

The plane was landing in Oreburgh City since it was the closest airport and then it was just one short bus ride to Jubilife City! I couldn't contain my excitement as I skipped off the plane and ran to get my luggage where I had to wait for Drew to catch up.

"Come on May! I asked you to contain your excitement at least a little bit!" Drew pouted.

"GASP! Is the GREAT Drew Hayden pouting?!" I laughed out loud.

"I do NOT pout airhead. I just wanted you to slow down so you didn't get lost." He retorted.

"Mhmm I'm sure Drew." I smirked back.

"Wh-whatever." He blushed. "Let's just get on the bus."

WAIT? Did he blush when he said that? EEEEEEEE I knew he felt the same way! But I can't let him know how I feel until I know for sure!

The bus ride was fairly uneventful. Oreburgh is not exactly the prettiest city in Sinnoh that's for sure. But the forests were pretty to look at on the way! Finally, we had arrived to Jubilife and you could already see the school sitting atop a hill overlooking the entire city! As we pulled up to the large brick building, a large iron gate blazoned with the words Jubilife City's School of the Arts. We quickly unloaded our bags and entered the school in search of the office where we would receive our schedules and dorm numbers. While attending the school we would live on campus in the dorms, but were allowed to go down to the city after classes and on weekends as long as we were back by curfew, which was 10 pm. We would also go home over the summer and had the option to stay or go home during fall, winter, and spring break. I was most excited about getting a roommate! We could be the best of friends! But first I'd need to find the office, luckily I have Drew for just this type of thing.

"Dreeewwwwwww. How much further is the office?" I whined.

"It's not that far May. Maybe if you knew a thing or two about patience it wouldn't seem that long." He replied.

"Ugh, whatever. I'm very patient. I'm the epitome of patience. Instead of using the word patience people use the word May." I replied.

"Hehehe okay whatever you say May." He chuckled.

We found the office and received our schedules and dorm numbers fairly quickly and were informed that each of our dormmates were second year students and would show us around campus.

While walking the dorm building, we compared our schedules, which were practically identical considering we have the same profession, singing. My schedule went like so:

8:00-8:40 – Breakfast

8:45-9:00 – Homeroom

9:10-9:50 – Voice Lessons

10:00-10:35 – Class Piano I

10:45-12:05 – Music Theory I

12:10-1:00 – Lunch

1:05-2:25 – Songwriting

2:40-4:00 – Dance Lessons

Drew's was the exact same except he took an acting class instead of dance, which I'm not sure why because he's a pretty good dancer. Oh well, maybe he wanted to learn something new. And he also was taking Class Guitar I instead of Piano. I'm already extremely skilled at the guitar so I decided to give piano a go.

Once we arrived to the dorm building we split up promising to meet up for dinner at 7:30 pm. I headed up the west wing to the girl's dorms and Drew went to the east wing towards the boy's dorms. It was only 3:30 so I had four hours to settle in and explore the campus before meeting Drew so I decided to go ahead and start! I found my dorm number, 48, took a deep breath and pushed open the door.
