Chapter 15

May's Point of View:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!  BEEP!

"Mmmmm," I moaned out while feeling for my alarm clock. I found it easily and quickly turned it off. I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at the ceiling and proceeded to lie there for a few minutes, contemplating dealing with the day. On the one hand, I was super excited to see Brendan and my friends. On the other hand, that also meant coming face-to-face with Drew, which I wasn't looking forward to after the encounter last night. I sat up and slung my legs over the edge of the bed and sat there, yawning and stretching my arms above my head, thinking about what outfit I'd like to wear today. Shortly after Dawn came in from her morning jog and she looked unusually happy about something.

"What are you so giddy about?" I questioned her with one eyebrow quirked.

"What are talking about May? I'm always happy? It's one of the things I'm best known for!" She replied with a nervous laugh and darted her eyes away from mine and back again.

"Okay, something is definitely up if you can't meet my eyes. I know you're always happy, Dawn, but you seem REALLY pleased about something this morning. Would it happen to be PAAUULLLLL???" I asked her while wiggling my eyebrows at her.

"WHAT?!? NO! I just had a nice and refreshing jog! Is that so weird to believe?" She replied quickly, and then added as an afterthought. "And I don't like Paul!"

"I'm just messing with you Dawn! You don't have to get defensive about it, besides I've told you alllll my boy troubles. If you want to confide in me, I'll always listen." I laughed and told her sincerely and patted her shoulder while she stood there with her arms crossed tightly. "Now hurry up and take a shower so I can take one."

"Ugh, okay. Well thanks for not teasing me as much as Leaf and Misty. I'll be out quickly!" Dawn replied and grabbed her towel before running into the bathroom.

I layed out my outfit for the day on my bed while waiting for Dawn and smiled at my choice. I had just decided how to style my hair and what makeup I was going to wear when Dawn stepped out while towel-drying her hair and going over to her desk/mirror and plugging in her hairdryer.

"It's all yours May! Don't be too long though, we've gotta leave in about 40 minutes." Dawn stated as she sat down and began pulling a brush through her bangs while blowdrying them.

"I'll be quick! Don't worry, I'm excited to meet up with Brendan so I don't want to be late!" I replied happily while grabbing my towel.

"Oh I'm so happy for you May! Well enjoy your shower and then we can catch up with your BOYFRAAANNNDDD!" Dawn squealed and clapped her hands together.

I just chuckled at her antics and took a quick 10 minute shower. I stepped out and brushed my hair out and then squirted out some hair gel and ran it through my still wet hair and began scrunching it up. I stepped into the room and plugged in my hairdryer and diffuser and lightly dried my hair so it held its natural wave. I folded my red bandana and then tied it into my hair so that it looked like a bow on top of my head and then dabbed on some light gold eyeshadow and added some cute winged-eyeliner and mascara and topped it off with a light pink lipgloss. After I was satisfied with my look, I turned to my bed and pulled on my outfit. When I was finished I had a pair of black skinny jeans with rips starting at my upper thigh to my shins and red high top converse with a red, flowy tank top and a denim jacket.
