I hope everyone is still doing well, especially with all the quarantine business! I have been extremely busy since my hours did not change at work and I am still a full-time online student (so no school changes either), so I am very sorry for the slow updates! I know you all understand how busy life can be! I hope everyone enjoyed the last chapter and are looking forward to the next chapter! Today is the big date!

Without further ado, we're off!

.....

May's Point of View:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"Ughhhhhhhhh, May! Turn that blasted thing off!" Misty shouted out, but it came out muffled since her head was buried under her pillow.

I was wrapped up in my sleeping bag like a little cocoon and groaned a little at the sound of Misty's voice and the alarm penetrating my skull. "Yeah yeah.... I'm getting there Misty..." I muttered while you could see just my arm emerging from the tangled mess of blankets, sleeping bag and pillows. I groped along the floor until I felt the nightstand and shook the leg of it until the alarm clock fell off and into the floor and broke.

"Meh." I mumbled before retreating back into my nest and falling back asleep.

"Well that's one way to turn it off." Dawn said while sitting up and stretching her arms above her head before covering a big yawn.

"Mayyyyy, c'mon girl you have to get up and start getting ready! It's already 8:30. Isn't Brendan picking you up at 10?" Leaf said while sitting up and shaking the brunette girl next to her.

"Ugghhhhh, it's so early on a weekend thoughhhh. He already likes meeeee.... How ready do I need to be?" I muttered out with my eyes half-closed while reaching my hand up to wipe the drool off my mouth.

"MAY!" Dawn shouted at me before chucking a pillow straight at my face. "You're the one that wanted to look special for today!"

"Hehehe, I know Dawn. I'm just still sleepy.." I said sheepishly while scratching the side of my head and finally sitting up. "Okay! I'm ready to start getting ready! I will be flawless for this date!" I shouted while rubbing my hands together.

"About time!" Misty said while rolling her eyes, but she had a smirk on her face so the girls knew she wasn't too serious.

"Oh haha" I said while standing up and sticking my tongue out at her. "Cold pizza anyone?" I asked while grabbing a leftover slice from the box still sitting on my desk before stuffing it in my face and walking towards the bathroom to hop into the shower.

"Girl you know it!" Misty said eagerly while grabbing a slice herself.

"Ummm no." Dawn said with a disgusted face.

"Absolutely not." Leaf said at the same time, looking equally grossed out.

"Fine, more for me!" Misty said happily while grabbing another slice and flopping onto May's bed.

I just chuckled at the girls as I could hear them through the bathroom door. I turned on the water to the shower to let it start heating up. I got undressed and stared at my face in the mirror while I waited trying to decide what look to go with for my makeup today. Did I want to go natural? Sweet? Bold and dramatic? This was my first real date and I wasn't sure how I wanted to look. I didn't want to ruin anything and scare Brendan off. I shook my head and climbed into the shower and let the hot water run over my hair and face. **sighh** I wish I could talk to Drew about this, he's been on plenty of dates before.. But for some reason I felt really weird about asking him for advice on this. Like it was wrong, but that didn't make sense. I wasn't doing anything wrong. Uggghhhhh, why have things been so complicated lately??? Oh well, whatever. I'm sure the feeling will pass, I need to focus on Brendan! Why am I thinking about Drew on such a special day anyways?? I shook my head again to clear it.
