Chapter 7

Hello fellow readers!

Wow, it has been one long year, and a lot has happened! I got engaged, graduated with my Associate's Degree from college, took my state boards and got my Physical Therapist Assistant license! With the exception of job hunting , my work load lightened considerably without the stress of school and studying for boards. So I am back to work on this story and ideally, I would like to finish it this year!

Without further ado, let's get back into the world of Jubilife City's School of the Arts!

Dialogue is in bold.

Thoughts are italicized and underlined.

May's Point of View:

~BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!!~

"UGGHHHHHHHHH......." I groaned as I pulled my pillow over my head and blindly swung my arm around until it hit the alarm clock.

"Good morning May!!" Dawn exclaimed happily as she came out of the bathroom while drying her hair with a towel. "Come on! It's already 6:45! You've gotta get ready if you want to be ready in time for breakfast!"

"HOW are you this cheery in the morning, Dawn?"  I asked groggily.

"I love mornings! I get up at 6:00 am every morning and take a quick jog around the campus, watch the sunrise, and then come back up to take a shower and get ready to face the day!" Dawn said excitedly.

"You get up at 6 EVERY DAY?!? Even on weekends?! Well thank you for not waking me up, you're so quiet in the morning. I never heard you once!" I replied.

"You seem like the type to sleep in so I figured I would just let you sleep! But I'll let you get ready! I need to pick out my outfit for the day any way! Then we can head down for breakfast and get ready for your first day of classes!" Dawn said as she flicked through her clothes.

"Yeah! I'm so excited to start here! I'll be ready soon!" I replied as I grabbed my towel and headed into the bathroom.

By 7:45 am, Dawn and I walked down to Misty and Leaf's room to grab them and head down to breakfast. I wanted to make a good impression on my first day so I was wearing a red off-shoulder top and white skinny jeans with red strappy sandals. Dawn was wearing her classic pink boots with black skinny jeans and a white short-sleeved shirt with a pink vest over top and a white beanie over her hair. Misty wore her crop-top and red suspenders with a pair of baggy blue jeans and yellow high top and her hair was pulled into her usual low ponytail. Leaf had her hair pulled into a high bun and was wearing white high tops and a pair of black leggings with a baggy, blue off-shoulder sweatshirt over a black leotard.

"Good morning Misty, Leaf! You guys look cute today!" I exclaimed as I saw my new friends.

"Good morning girls! Are you ready for your first day?" Misty replied.

"Of course! I know Drew is excited too! I just wish you and I had at least one class together." I responded to Misty with a sigh.

"That's okay though! We'll still see everyone at lunch and after classes! Have you decided if you're going to participate in any after schools clubs? You could always take improv class with me and Dawn! It meets every Wednesday!"  Misty said.

"Or you could join any of the dance teams with me!" Leaf interjected. "I'm a part of three different teams/styles and they all meet at different times!"

"Or you could do each! I do the improv club and I'm on the jazz team! Since I don't have many classes with anyone I like to do a club with each of my friends!" Dawn added quickly.
