Winning the Game of Life

Chapter 7

Been about three days since we came back to the game. Phoebe and Raquel got mad at us because we told them that we would only be gone for a few days. But since im great at explaining things they didn't get mad for a long time.

So here we are, traveling to complete a new mission.

"So if we travel through the mountains it'll be faster?" Leo asked.

I looked at the mountain he was pointing to. I've never been to that mountain so I have no idea what danger lies ahead if we take that route.

"Where exactly did you get that information again?" I asked as I looked at the map someone gave to him.

"I don't know. But he gave us a right map since the map we had is the same as his, although it has directions and it pin points where the hidden treasures are located."

"True. But, what if it's a trap? Or an ambush?" Takot na sabi ni Raquel

Hindi ko sila masisisi kung takot sila na ma-ambush dahil alam namin ang pakiramdam nun.

"Well it won't hurt to try. Tsaka kung ma-ambush man tayo kayang kaya natin lagpasan yun!"

He's confident because he himself can easily escape that, but we are a team. Not all of us can move like he does. Well im not saying that I can't, but what about these two? We can't just leave them after we just saved them.

"I think it's much safer to go the long way than take that shortcut" Says Phoebe.

Lahat kame napatingin sa kaniya. Si Phoebe to, right? All of us are looking at her, ngayon ko lang siya nakitang ganito ka seryoso.

"May café daw kasi sa town na madadaanan natin at gusto ko ma-try yun!"

Para kameng binagsakan ng bato sa ulo dahil sa sinabi niya. Hindi niya nga talaga kaya magseryoso.

-Rina-

"Dad, please? It's been a while since we went out and—"

"Rina, please din. I have my work later so I can't."

Work! Work! Work! All dad ever does this past few days is to work!

"Wala ka na time para samin ni Mom! Puro ka nalang trabaho!!"

Dad stood up and glared at me. Nagsitayuan lahat ng balahibo ko sa katawan at feeling ko namutla ako.

"Hindi ako nagtatrabaho para lang sa sarili ko Rina. Im working my butt off just to make sure that your brothers will be alright!"

Nangingilid na yung luha ko, gusto ko umalis pero hindi ko magawa. Ito ba yung nararamdaman ng mga kinakalaban ni Dad?Ganitong kaba din ba ang nararamdaman nila tuwing titingnan sila ni Dad?

"Dylan that's enough!"

Mom came in and hugged me tight and there I started to cry in her arms.

"You know she easily gets scared. Sa sigaw mo palang natatakot na si Rina, bakit kailangan mo pa tingnan ng ganyan?!"

Hindi ko narinig sumagot si dad. I just heard a loud slam of the door. Mom started caressing my back, wanting to make me stop crying. But I couldn't, Dad is mad at me, and he and mom fought just because of my stupid demands!

"I'll talk to your dad, okay? So stop crying, im sure he didn't meant to shout at you."

I know mom. I know.
