"Have you heard of the tessaract?" Siff asks me.

"Um, no?" I say, having no idea where this is going.

"The tessaract is what brought Loki to your world," Thor says, "It's an energy source."

"Like what type of energy source?" I ask.

"The tessaract is one of six infinity gems," Odin explains, "They have been here since the beginning. Each one has a power. If you combine them all together, you get unlimited power."

"So that's what Loki was after?"

"No," Thor says.

"But you said-"

"Loki was not looking for the tessaract, he was looking for power an a chance to prove himself. The people who offered him the chance to take over Midgard were after the tessaract."

"And who was that?"

"Loki was working for an army of the Chitari. They are not of any worlds known."

"So, that's who we're up against? The Chitari?" I ask.

"No, it's their leader," Thor says.

"And who's that?"

"We don't know."

"Wait so, this whole thing is who is working for who, and we don't even know who the last who is?"

They don't answer, but I can tell that I pretty much got it.

"Well," I say, trying to get a head start, "Do you know anything about the person or thing leading the Chitari?"

They don't answer again, and that just frustrates me.

"Tell me what you know about these infinity stones-"

"Gems," Odin corrects me.

"Right. Tell me everything you know about them, that might narrow it down a bit."

Everyone is silent for a moment, and then they start firing things.

By the time we are done with our rapid fire, I'm exhausted.

"Well," I say, "We obviously don't know much about them and we know nothing about the who-"

I look around the table. Thor, Odin, Siff, Fandral, Hogan, and Volstagg all stare at me for an answer.

"But we know someone who does," I finish.

"Who?" Fandral asks.

"Oh, no," Odin says, "You're not going to do that!"

"He's our only chance!" I yell in frustration.

"He is a criminal!" Odin yells back.

"He is your son!"

"No! He is not."

After that remark, Odin storms off, leaving us sitting there.

"Sigyn," Thor says softly, "I don't think your should go to him for help."

"But he knows a hundred more things than we do!"

"Exactly," Thor whispers and then leans in, "He knows to much."

"Don't you want to see your own brother redeem himself?" I ask him in a whisper.

He pauses for a moment and then says, "Well, yes."

"Then we need to get Loki."

Thor and I walk the halls. Talking about where we could find Loki.

He could be anywhere for all I know, that's what scares me.

As Thor and I talk, I notice something. There are no people walking about, strange.

And then we see him. Standing right in the middle of the hall is Loki.

My heart starts pounding. My kidnapper, the one who had me locked in a library for ten days, now stands before me.
