Thor leads me out of what I believe is the bifrost, and on to a rainbow bridge. Wait, a rainbow bridge?

"What is this?" I ask Thor as we walk.

"The rainbow bridge," he says simply.

"Yeah, I can see that. But what is it?"

He stops walking for a moment and turns to me.

"The rainbow bridge is what leads to the other realms-"

"So like an Einstein Rosen bridge?'

"Yeah," he says, "Just a little different."

We continue walking on the rainbow bridge, and I am about to ask him what makes the colors light up but am interrupted by him halting suddenly and me running into him.

"Oof," I groan as my head smacks into his shoulder.

Thor ignores my collision and says, "Behold, the great city of Asgard."

I am about to scoff at his dramatic introduction when I follow his gaze and find a huge structure towering over me.

It's like a castle but it is lined with gold that shines in the sunlight instead of stone. Towers rise above it and give it a majestic look. All around the castle are smaller building that look like a village from a story book.

"Whoa," I breath as my eyes wonder over the view.

"Nothing like Earth, is it?" Thor asks, slightly chuckling.

"No, not at all."

We walk through the fairy tale village as people run about, going on with their daily lives. Their attire looks as if they came from the Middle Ages and so do their tools.

I follow Thor past the village and through a huge golden gate.

"This is the palace," he says smiling.

"So, where do you live?" I ask him, reading the smile that he wears.

"Here."

"Wait, in the palace?"

"Well of course."

"I'm sorry," I say, "But I'm not all that familiar with Norse mythology."

"That's alright," he says, "You'll just have to learn everything the hard way."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"One thing you must know," Thor says ignoring my question, "Is that Odin is the king of Asgard. And I am Odin's son."

"Wait, you're like the prince of Asgard?"

"Sort of."

"But Loki is your brother. So Loki is also a prince?"

"In a way."

"Can you just say yes or no!" I blurt out, annoyed by his short remarks that don't fully answer my question.

Thor just smiles at me and continues walking. We go through countless door and halls that all look the same to me, gold and big.

"Oh," Thor says, suddenly stoping at a set of huge, golden, double doors, "And one more thing, Odin sent for you."

I'm about to ask why on earth, or Asgard, would the king send his son down to earth for me, but I am silenced by the huge doors opening.

Behind the now open doors lies a huge golden, go figure, room that is as big as my whole apartment building.

On the far end of the room is a throne that extents to the sides and also half way up the ceiling.

"Amazing," I breath as I take it all in.

"Just do what I do," Thor whispers and begins walking to the throne.

I hadn't noticed it before, but an elderly man with a golden eyepatch atop one eye sits on the throne. He wears a robe and armor, an a helmet that looks like nothing I've ever seen. He posture is slightly slouched and he leans to one side, making him look cocky. Odin.

"Father," Thor says bowing and I do the same, "I have brought you the mortal that you requested."

Wait, mortal?

Odin's piercing gaze lands on me and his one good eye seems to bare a hole right through me.

"Welcome, Lady Sigyn," he says. His voice is proud and strong.

Thor elbows me and I say the first thing that comes into mind.

"Why did you send for me?" I ask before I can think, "I mean, why me?"

Odin face remains placid and his gaze unfaltering.

"You have more power than you know," he says simply and then turns to Thor and says, "Thank you for bringing her. You may return to Midgard."

"If it isn't any trouble, I would like to stay here until Lady Sigyn gets settled in. Then once she is comfortable, I will leave," Thor says, completely surprising me.

Odin's gaze rests on Thor, but there is no love in it.

"If you think it best," he says and then taps his golden scepter on the floor, causing Thor to stand and me to follow.

As we leave, I feel the kings eyes burning a hole at the back of my skull. Something is not right.

Thor then leads me to a room with a huge bed in the middle and a balcony next to it.

"Here you go," he says as we walk in.

"This is my room?" I ask, completely surprised.

"Well, yes. Of course."

I use all my strength to fight the urge to run and jump on the bed.

"Your servants will be here momentarily," he says.

"Wait, servants?"

"Yes," he says as he walks out of the room and then adds with a smile, "You may jump on the bed if you like."

The second he leaves, that's exactly what I do.
