I walk the garden of Asgard as I think of what has happened.

I was terrorized by a man who could look into my mind. He made my fear of bugs come true. He made my father and mother threaten me. But what scares me the most, is what he did with the fear of Loki in my mind.

"Figured I'd find you here," someone interrupts my thoughts.

I gasp and look up to see Loki, standing there.

I panic for a moment and then remind myself that what Thanos showed me was a dream. Only a dream.

I smile at Loki and continue to walk. He falls into step next to me.

"Is it him?" he asks suddenly, "Is it Thanos?"

I nod sadly.

"He made my fear of losing control come real," Loki admits.

"What?"

"The reason I use all this magic and quick words, is to hide. I use it as a mask to hide myself. So I don't lose control. Because when I let go of it, the magic and words, I feel vulnerable."

I didn't think that Loki used his magic and lies as protection. I thought they were for destroying other people's lives. Not defending his own.

I take a deep breath as I realize that Loki just shared something with me that he hasn't told anyone before. And I should do the same.

"You were there!" I say really quickly, so as to get it out.

"What?"

"In my nightmare with Thanos. You were there."

"What happened? Why was I there?"

"You, um," I falter, trying to find the right words. Since I obviously didn't want to tell him that I kissed him in my nightmare.

"You tricked me," I finally say, "You tricked me and then stabbed me in the side with a knife."

Loki frowns with worry and discomfort in his face.

"You know I would never do that," he says, "I would never hurt you."

"I know that," I say. Wait, I don't know that! But yet, I do. I just won't admit it.

"Listen to me, Sigyn," Loki says and puts his hands on my shoulders, forcing me to face him, "You need to trust me. I would never hurt you."

He's right. Trust is a rare thing, and he needs it, for he has none.

I nod and say softly, "I trust you."

He gives a small smile and then does what I feared and least expected.

Without warning, he leans in, till he's millimeters away from my face. Then he softly presses his lips against mine.

This kiss is nothing like the one from the nightmare. It is real, and it is right. To right.

His lips only stay on mine momentarily. They are soft and seem to fit perfectly with mine.

When we part, I back up and begin to run back to the palace. But before I reach there, I turn around and yell, "I trust you!"

Author's note:

Thank you for reading this! I almost have 1,000 reads, that is beyond awesome! So I have decided that this book will be book #1 in the Infinity Chronicles. The next book will be out soon, I promise. But the series will continue the whole infinity gems mission, and more characters will appear, a lot will be from marvel comics. Also, I do not own theses characters, they are property of Marvel. I only own Sigyn. Thank you so much for reading, voting, and commenting! You guys are the best! Thank you!
