Jayden's POV

My sister has a crush on Keaton. That's so cute! If he looked anything like Wesley I totally understand. I called Megan last night before I went to bed and we talked until midnight. I told her I was in love with Cali of course, and I mentioned that I have a cute neighbor, but I didn't tell her about surfing today. She'd have made it a big deal and it wasn't worth it.

I put on a red bikini and walked downstairs. Hal was sitting on the counter again eating yogurt. She had on a teal bikini but it was one that hides your stomach. I don't know why she's so self conscious because she's smaller than I am. She's so pretty but she doesn't even see it. I actually think if she tried she'd better looking than me. I'm not conceded, but I'm not blind either.

There was a knock at the door. I opened it to find Wesley and two other boys. They all had on board shorts and none of them had shirts on. Was everyone here ripped?

"Uh come in." I stumbled over my words as I tore my eyes from their abs.

"This is Keaton and Drew." Wes smiled.

"Nice to meet you guys. I'm Jayden, and the girl sitting on the counter is my sister Haley." I pointed to Hal who had a spoon hanging out of her mouth.

"Hanna's going to meet us at the beach. She had cheer practice today." Wes said. "So if you guys are ready we can head out."

We nodded and Haley joined us. "Um Jay, we don't have boards." She said softly.

"No problem! Me and Keats are going to teach you guys so you can use ours." Drew smiled a perfectly white smile.

With that we headed to the beach. I'd been to beaches in Ohio and along the east coast but this was different. I don't care what anyone says. The white sand and crystal water was just about breathtaking. I watched as Haley paired off with Keaton. They walked side by side chatting amongst themselves. They were cute.

    "There's Hanna." Wes said smiling.

"Oh joy." Drew rolled his eyes. He apparently didn't like her.

I saw the girl Wes approached. She had straight blonde hair that was shoulder length and tan skin. She looked familiar but I couldn't be sure. "Why don't you like her?" I asked Drew while Wes took his time coming back to where we were standing.

"She just treats everyone like she's a queen and they're peasants." He shrugged. "Everyone's equal in my book."

When they got to us I was sure I knew her. She was in my last class of the day, and she was the girl I didn't like. "Hi I'm Jayden." I smiled trying to be nice.

"Hanna." She replied but looked annoyed. "Can we just get in the water already?" She asked looking at Wes with a pouty face that made me want to barf.

"Yeah let's hit it!" Wes yelled leading her to the water with his board under his arm.

I looked at Drew and shrugged. He laughed and explained what I was going to have to do on the board. It sounded easy, but that meant nothing. Once I got in the water I fell off about twelve times. Then I finally caught one, but just my luck, I got swallowed into it and everything went black.

Everything was blurry when I started to open my eyes. I saw shapes around me and it was bright. My head lolled side to side as I tried to focus on something.

"Oh my God Jayden please open your eyes!" I heard Haley yelling.

"She's just doing this for attention." I heard Hanna mumble under her breath, but she was really close so I could hear her fine.
