Haley's POV

Jayden walks around like a zombie from The Walking Dead. It's been five days since Wes dumped her for no apparent reason. She doesn't eat, talk, or watch tv. She goes to work then just sits in the living room. The weird part is I haven't even seen her crying really. I mean she'll just be sitting there and a tear will run down her face but then she wipes it away like nothing happened.

I'm starting to worry about her actually. It's past the point of moping around now she's just lost it. She throws herself into dancing and she's taken up jogging now. I know my sister and she hates jogging more than she hates wearing socks. Right now she's laying on the couch staring at the tv that's not even turned on.

"Jay do you want some ice cream?" I asked from the kitchen.

"No." She mumbled something about it being bad for her new diet. My sisters a size ten, she doesn't need a diet.

"How about something to drink?" I asked.

"I'm not thirsty Haley." She said starting to get annoyed.

I gave up and grabbed me a water then went to my room. She's like this all the time. She gets all pissed over nothing then she'll just lay there. I feel bad for her and I wish there was something I could do. Tonight we have to go to the show so maybe I'll talk to Wesley and see what's really up.

I got dressed to go and then went to Megan's room. She was fixing her hair in the mirror on her dresser. She looked up and smiled halfheartedly when we made eye contact. I know she's just as worried about Jayden as I am.

"What are we going to do?" I sighed sitting on the edge of her bed.

"I don't know. It scares me kind of that she's being like this. I've never seen her act like this ever." Megan said finishing her hair.

"Me either and I feel like she's getting worse the longer we ignore it." I said. "I'm going to talk to Wesley after the show. Will you come with me?"

"Sure, maybe he can at least tell us what actually happened." She agreed.

Once we were all ready we walked to the, now fixed, elevator. Jayden didn't say a word as we walked to her car in the lot or on the drive over. She fiddled with her dance outfit and sighed at red lights. That was it, and once we got to the studio she left us mumbling about having to go stretch. I hope I can help her before she does something stupid.

Jayden's POV

Once we got to the show I trotted back to the area where the dancers practice. I sat on the ground and looked out the glass window at the sunset. I remember when Wesley and me would watch sunsets together. I shook my head and looked away. I can't think about him. I've tried to avoids everything that reminds me of him. It's harder than it sounds actually. I don't watch tv or eat practically anything and I think it's freaking Megan and Haley out.

I stood up and stretched my body thinking about the show tonight. I have to stand on the same stage with Wes. I can't do it and I know it. I'll lose it in front of everyone. Maybe I can make up some excuse to get out of it. I thought for awhile about how to get out of it then the door clicked. I was out of time.

"Jayden we need you on stage." One of the other dancers called from the door.

I nodded and followed her to stage. The first act came on and we did the choreography perfectly. Once that was over we exited to the left and were standing off to the side of the stage. I smelled a familiar smell that used to make me pissed but right now I didn't even mind.

"Can I have a drink?" I asked Lauren who was next to me sneaking a drink out of a flask.

She held it out to me and smiled. "Sure thing. It really helps calm the nerves."
