Chapter 26

Haley's POV

Keaton and I went bowling again. He's really good and I feel like I suck. He introduced me to some of his friends since they were here too. They all seemed really nice. Now were heading back to his house since Wes called and said their mom came to visit. I met Laraine at the wedding but it still makes me nervous.

We got to the house at four thirty and Drew pulled in just as we to to the front door. Keaton waited for him to catch up and then we all went in together. Wes was sitting on the couch holding Jayden in his lap. She looks so happy when she's with him. Laraine looked up and smiled.

"Oh my baby Keaton!" She said as she stood and hugged him. "And Haley right?"

I nodded as she pulled me into a tight hug too. "Nice to see you." I said when she let go.

"You too dear. Oh and Drew your mom said if you don't call her soon she's going to drive down here and beat your butt young man." She said laughing.

Drew chuckled. "Yeah I'll give her a call. I've just been busy."

"So boys now that you're all here. What's this about the Xfactor?" She asked.

"We're auditioning." Wes shrugged. "It's a big step for us."

"Well I'm behind you boys one hundred percent. I have some news." Laraine said. "It's not bad but it's not good."

"What it is it?" Keaton asked looking worried.

"I can't afford the rent on this house so you guys are relocating. I already got the apartment. It's in LA at a place called Oceanside." She said.

"Oh my gosh thats where our apartment is." I squealed looking at Keaton.

His worry faded and he smiled. "What number is the apartment?"

"309?" She looked at Drew. "Drew saw it today."

"Yeah it's right across the hall from the girls." Drew smiled. "Plus I put it in my name and if this Xfactor thing goes well I'll pay."

"This is going to be amazing!" Jayden jumped excitedly.

"I'm glad everything worked out." Laraine smiled. "Now lets all get dinner."

"I vote for that Chinese place!" Wes said.

"I second that motion!" Jayden joined in.

"Of course you do." Drew snorted making them both give him a dirty look. "Just kidding jeez!"

"I can't wait until Megan gets here and I can pick on you!" Jayden laughed as we went out the front door.

Jayden's POV

After dinner Laraine helped us haul stuff to our apartments. She was so cool. I love spending time with her. She's just like a big kid. We packed up the boys's stuff and made three trips. After we finished it was after midnight and we were all exhausted.

"Well boys I love you. You can get anything else you need from the house until this coming Monday." Laraine hugged us all. "Girls I loved seeing you again and take care of my boys. I'm heading home."

"Mom you can stay here tonight. It's late and I don't want you to wreck." Wes said.

"Oh honey I'll be fine." She waved her hand.

"Okay. Promise to call when you get home?" He insisted.

"Alright. I love you guys." She waved again as she walked out the door of the boys's apartment.

"We love you too!" They all yelled in unison as she left.

"We'll see you guys tomorrow." I yawned. "I need to unpack my stuff and go to bed."

"Me too." Hal agreed yawning.

We went back to our apartment and started unpacking our boxes. Her room was closest to the bathroom and mine was closest to the kitchen. I finished unpacking my last box of stuff and looked around my room. I smiled as I flopped down on my tyedye bed spread.

"Jay?" Hal said coming into my room.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"I was just going to say goodnight." She yawned.

"Night sis." I said.

"One more thing?" She said smiling

"Yes?" I asked.

"What's the meaning of life?" She asked.

I thought or a second then smiled. "Music, because without it I wouldn't be sane."

"Who said you were sane?" She giggled. "Night Jayden."

"Night." I laughed.

The next day I got up and trudged to the kitchen making myself a bowl of frosted flakes I'd taken from Dad's house. I didn't realize until after I'd poured the cereal that I didn't have milk. I sighed and looked in the fridge. I had orange juice and bottled water. I shrugged and poured orange juice over the frosted flakes.

There was a knock at the door so I skipped over and pulled the door open. Wes stepped inside and looked at me. Then his eyes landed in my bowl of cereal. He made a face and chuckled.

"What's that?" He asked.

"Frosted flakes and orange juice. I didn't have milk so I'm improvising." I said. "Wanna bite?"

"Not of the cereal." Wes winked.

"Ew gross!" Haley said joining us in the room.

"Oh hush! Like Keaton and you don't make out." Wes laughed.

"We don't bite." Hal said.

"Wes is the only one who bites." I said taking a bite of my cereal.

"Oh whatever!" Wes laughed. "I was wondering if you guys wanted to go tour the city later?"

"Me and Keaton already have plans actually. Sorry." Hal said.

"Doing what?" I asked.

"He's taking me to the zoo. Well Drew's taking us. So I guess it's just you and Jay." Hal shrugged. "I'm gonna shower. No biting while I'm gone."

"No promises." Wes laughed.

I finished my cereal and put my bowl in the sink. Wes was leaning against the counter. He's already had a shower and looked all cute. That's when it dawned on me that I probably look disgusting. I haven't showered and I have no make up on. Plus I'm in my bed pants and a shirt that's two sizes too big.

"What's wrong?" Wes asked.

"Nothing, why?" I said all too fast.

"Babe what is it?" He laughed putting his arms around me.

"Don't. I look gross." I pulled back.

He smiled. "Jayden you look perfect all the time, and I'd love you even if you didn't."

"Awe! You're adorable." I cooed.

"I try." He said placing a soft kiss on my lips. "So about that tour?"

"Where are we going first?" I asked.

"I was thinking the store. That way you can eat normal food." He laughed.

"Good idea." I giggled. "After Haley gets done I'll shower and we can go."

"Alright. I'm gonna go get my sunglasses. I'll be back." He said walking to the door. I gave a wave and he was gone. That boy is too perfect.
