Maximum Ride: A New Life

chapter 14

Max pov

    I was driving like a mad woman. Maby because I am mad.
    The flock was holding on to the seats for dear life as I swerved in and out. Anita was simply laying down in her seat.

  I slamed on the breaks at a red light and most of the flock flew out of there chairs.

    "Ok." Said Dylan, getting him and Ashley back on the seat. "Max you need to stop. What is the big deal and how did you know someone was in the car?"

   "I have a silent alarm. Now witch one of you asshole picked my lock?"

   Thay stayed silent.

    "If know won speaks up I will pull over and beat the living crap out of you."

  Still thay said nothing, but you could see the fear in there eye.

   I sighed and slowed down.

  
"I did it." Said Gazzy quickly.

    "Why?"

   "Thay wanted the book so I got it for them."

    "If thay said that thay wanted a book that was covered in poison and was surrounded by a pit of snakes while man eating  vultures flying overhead would you get it for them?"

   He stayed silent.

   It stayed that way untill I pulled in to McDonald and asked them what thay wanted. I was not that hungry so me and Anita just got two trays of ice-cream.

   After a few more hours of driving I started to feel sick so we stoped in another town.

    I pulled up the a Burger King and told them to wait untill I got back.

     "Where are you going?" Said Dylan

    "To the bathroom. Anita stay hear and keep an eye on them." With that I got out and rushed to the bathroom just in time to empty my stomach. Must have been something wrong with the ice cream.

     After three minutes I was finally empty and got up off the bathroom floor. After I flushed the tolit I went to the counter and got me a drink to get the tasted out my mouth. Once I was done I went back to the car to find that most of them are sleeping.

   Well it was around six in the morning.

      I pulled out of the parking lot and back on the road.

     "Max dont you think we should stop and rest?" Said Maya, looking at the almost sleep flock.

   "I hate to say so but she it right Max. You have been driving for a day now with no sleep and no food. I do not need you shuting down on me."

    I looked at Anita and seen that she was giving me a series look. "And you can call your mother and ask her how is everyone. I know you are dying to know."

   Ugg, I hate it went shes right. I sighed and told them in the next town that we would stop. After that thay stoped bothering me.

    It was a long time untill we reached the next town, and what ever sickness this is its starting to get to me. I had to pull over two time to, once more empty my stomach even though is was already empty. Good thing that thay was all asleep. I found a nice looking motel and parked the car.

   I looked at the flock. "Up and at em." I said. Thay slowly got out amd walked to the lobby.

    I got my bag and payed for a three bed room, luckily thay had one.
