some people may tell you that dallas winston never loved a single thing on the face of this earth. they may tell you he was cold and closed off; no emotions. they may tell you that he had no compassion or warmth. they have told you wrong.

this is the story of a girl named katie and a boy named dallas. you see, because of the two social groups that they abide in, their love was forbidden. no greaser ever to love a soc and no soc ever to love a greaser, that's just the way it was. our story begins at the movies.

katie had joined in to a movie that was supposed to be with her boyfriend and her friends. he got drunk and instead she staggered off with her friends to seats in the back of the drive in. little did she know that all night she would be taunted by dallas winston.

dallas sat behind her and her friends whispering dirty comments into her ear. finally she had had enough.

"get your feet off my chair and shut your trap!" she squealed.

this made dally grin, he was going to annoy her til the movie's end. by the end her had gotten a drink thrown on him and slapped in the face but he didn't leave. he liked this girl. the movie ended and the boys offered to walk the girls home, unknowing that they lived in the other side of town. they had reached a large house on the west side of town.

  "how about i take you out tomorrow?" dallas smirked at the girl.

  "how about no?" she smirked right back.

  "come on babe! you love me!" he yelled as she walked up the driveway.

  "yeah sure." she rolled her eyes.

  to tell you the truth, she did like him. a lot. she would not let that show though, she had a lot going for her. she couldn't be seen with some dirty greaser. he would ruin her rep. eventually in her mind she said fuck it and agreed to his date.

  over the next few weeks they got close. scary close, even for dallas. dally was cold and mean and this girl had him in the palm of her hand. their love was a secret though. nobody could know how they cared for eachother or they would be practically banished.

for one, it would ruin dallas' rep. he wouldn't be caught dead going soft for anyone, especially not a soc! it would also ruin katie's rep. she would be shunned by her friends and her parents. oh her parents would ground her for life.

but one careless mistake changed everything. the accidentally were caught walking around town together. katie's parents went into a raging fit when they found out that she had been seeing dallas for months. she was forbidden to see dallas again, ever again.

  after not seeing her for a week, her went to her window and climbed up the rail leading up to her balcony. he opened her door to find her sitting on her bed, alone.
