Shyanne's pov

It's been hours since I've came back and Maggie still isn't back yet. I mean I enjoyed the time alone thing, but damn we have class tomorrow.

The door opened, revealing Maggie. Wow.

"Hey. Sorry, did I wake you?" She asked. I sat up on my bed and rested against the headboard.
"No, I wasn't sleeping actually." I rubbed my arm.

"Oh okay." She simply said.

I was about to lay back down but her voice stopped me.

"What happened?" She asked. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean?"

"Well you seemed completely fine until the boys showed up. Do you somehow know them? I mean they are from Nebraska just like you." She spoke while taking her shoes off.

"No, I don't know them. I just...
had the most horrible break up ever and I'm not really trying to get involved with anyone." I bit my lip.

"Oh! Oh why didn't you just say that? That makes sense. I totally get it." She walked over and plopped down next to me on my bed. "I won't let them bother you or anything like that. Even though that Derek was totally checking you out." She winked at me.

"No way." I shook my head. "Then again all of them were staring but hey, no boys." She pointed to me as she got up.

"No boys." I repeated.

Okay. It's 7:00am and I'm ready for class which starts at nine...

I don't even know why I get up so early. I guess you can just say I'm a morning person.

Maggie is still sleeping and snoring like a crazy person. I stifle my laugh because of her sleeping position.

She was spread out like a starfish but instead of laying down flat, her top half was twisted so that her face was slightly in the air and one of her arms was hanging off the bed. Loud snores were still coming out too.

I walked over to her side and shook her. She didn't even budge. Well she's a dead sleeper! I push her shoulder so that she landed on her face. "Maggie?" I called.
"With Maggie, and the ferocious beast." I sang. She groaned miserably. "Please don't say that ever again. You have no idea what I had to go through during my childhood." She whined.

"Aw but that's cute. Now that I think about the show, I feel old." I laughed. She sighed and sat herself up. "Hey what time is it?" She asked while yawning.

"Just a little after seven." I said. Her eyes looked at me like I was crazy. "The hell is wrong with you?" She asked and I gave her the same look she gave me.
"What?" I asked.
"It's not even after 8! Goodnight." She said and dropped her body down back in the bed.

"Oh," I giggled. "You're just not a morning person." I nodded to myself. "Hell no the fuck I'm not." She grumbled. "Yeah, I'm gonna go down to the to the breakfast bar. You want anything? I'll pay for you." I asked and Maggie turned around to me.

"I'll have a bacon egg and cheese with apple juice, thanks your the best." She said before turning back around and falling back asleep.

I slipped my shoes on and grabbed my keys and wallet. I put my phone in my pocket and headed out the door. I shut the door quietly behind me.

I walked down the hallway and headed towards the elevator.

"Hey Shyanne, right?" I turned around to see the blonde girl from yesterday. I nodded. "Nathalie, right?" I asked back. She gave me too thumbs up with a smile. "Yeah, your going to the breakfast bar?" She asked and I nodded.

"Cool, cause I'm going there too."

We walked to the elevator.
"I wish that this was an all girls college. I can't deal with the guys here." She crossed her arms. "Oh trust me, me neither." I placed a hand over my chest.

"I'm not looking for a relationship for a long ass time, due to my ex." The doors opened.

"Oh, what happened? If you don't mind me asking." I said. We started making are way into the lunchroom.

"Simple. He cheated." She shrugged. I sucked in a breath. "Oh damn. I'm sorry." I say sympathetically. "It's whatever. I don't really like going out because when I do, I'll see his little fuckboy face. He goes to college here too, just at the guys college down the block." She rolled her eyes.

We got on a very short line. There were only two people in front of us.

"What about you? Trouble in paradise?" She chuckled. "Oh me? No, not really. I don't want a boyfriend right now either though." I say.

"Cool. There are cute boys here though, don't get me wrong. But at least I have someone I could connect with because Madison- God, Madison goes on and on about her stupid boyfriend Jack. 'Jack is such an awesome boyfriend! He buys me food, tells me I'm beautiful' blah blah blah blah. It's sickening." She rolled her eyes.

Maybe Jack's different now?

"I'm so sorry you have to live with that!" I laughed and placed my hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry too." She wiped away a fake tear.

"Next?" I turned around and placed my order along with Maggie's. I payed and stepped to the side for Nathalie to order.

"That's a lot of food. You sure you can eat all that?" She joked.

"Oh, no half of this is for Maggie." I told her.
"I can tell I'm just kidding." She nudged my shoulder playfully.

I forced a smile.

"I was just kidding, you're totally not fat." She laughed. I kinda feel like it still, even though I'm not.

We got our food and head back to the elevator.

"I swear I've seen you before." She stared at me. "You look so familiar." She continued. "Well did you live Nebraska?" I joked.
"I did. I went to South Yorkshire high school." She said and I paused. So did I...

"I did to. I just don't remember you, sorry." I bit my lip. The doors opened again and I stepped out quickly. "See you." I said and walked quickly back to my room.
I unlocked the door and closed it quietly behind me.

I placed the food on the counter.

"Maggie you should get up now. It's almost eight." I said. I took off my shoes and grabbed my food before sitting down on my bed.

"Food?" She stretched. "Yeah it's on the counter." I said as she started getting up.

"Imma get ready now." She said as she walked into the bathroom.

I sighed. I remember who Nathalie was. She was Derek's girlfriend in high school. She's the one who gave me back my book that Jack kicked. It makes sense now. Though I don't understand how you could cheat on a 10 like her.

To be honest, I want to stay far away from Derek and his friends. But if I do it's going to be obvious and Maggie's going to ask why...
