Shyanne's pov

"I can't believe you got scared!" I was laughing and clapping my hands.

"I wasn't scared! I just.." Cameron scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment. I saw that his cheeks were a light pink.
"Awww," I cooed. "Don't be embarrassed, everyone gets scared sometimes." I smile at him.

We were heading over to a diner to get something to eat.
What I've learned about this town is that they only have one diner. That's why I've been seeing Derek and his friends so much...

"No but seriously I wasn't scared though." He waved me off. They raised my eyebrows at him in amusement. "Okay." I scoffed.

He opened the diner door for me and I thanked him.

"Where you wanna sit?" He asked.
"Doesn't matter." I shrugged. He nodded and led the way to a seat by the window. We then sat down.

"I'm just getting the cheeseburger deluxe." He said.  I scrunched my nose up.

"Cheeseburger." I say in a funny voice. "You see, I'm just going to get the burger deluxe. You know the burger without cheese?" I say and he gives me a weird look.

"Wow. So you definitely I have a thing against cheese. Noted." He pointed at me.

"That's not true. I like macaroni and cheese." I leaned back in my seat. "So what do you have against cheeseburgers?" He laughed.
"There's cheese on the burger!" I said. "What? Yo, okay. This is one of the silliest arguments I've ever had with someone." He rubbed his face and leaned forward.

"It's not silly. It's just that I don't believe that cheese should be on a burger." I shrugged. Cameron chuckled, "You're something else." He smirked.

There was banging on the window. I quickly turned my head to see Maggie who looked out of breath. She put her phone on the window and aggressively pointed at it. I guess she's trying to say that she texted me. I did have my phone on vibrate..

I opened my phone and saw that I had four text messages from her.

Maggie: don't go to the diner

Maggie: Derek and his friends are going to crash there before they go to a party

Maggie: HELLO?! HOLA?? ANYONE HOME?

Maggie: Nvm. I shall find you and I shall save you😎

Maggie banged on the window again.

"You do see your friend at the window right?" Cameron asked as he pointed to Maggie.

I nodded at Maggie.
"We should go. I'm not feeling really hungry anymore." I say as I stood up. Cameron had confusion on his face.

It's just I really don't want to see any of their faces. It'll ruin my good mood.

"Um okay?" He said as he got up.
"Yeah." I say and pull him out the door with me.

"I came as quick as I could. You weren't answering your phone." Maggie poked me with her finger.
"Ow! I'm on a date." I answered.
"Was." She said and Cameron clears his throat.
