When we finally got home I could smell mom's food just outside the house. Emma and I glance at each other and quickly take off to the house. We both slide into the kitchen and smile big at the sight of all the food.

Finally, we all sit down and give thanks for the food. Both Emma and I were shoveling down our meal. The stress of the exams put me through sleep deprivation and starvation.

When we finished dinner we both went and sat outside drinking some tea my grandfather had. I sigh from feeling relaxed.

"So when is your dad leaving?"

" Sometime tomorrow morning I think." I started to question my thoughts because I wasn't sure exactly when he would leave.

I stand up and stretch a little. " Well, what do you say we go inside. It's kind of chilly out here."

Emma nods and sips the rest of her tea and stands up walking back with me. We took a long way around and that's when I stopped to notice that the shrine door was open a little.

Emma starts walking to the shrime. " I think somethings in there....it sounds like a cat?"

I stare at her confused and walk towards the shrine to see for myself. I glanced down to see that it was my cat. I roll my eyes and we both walk down together.

" You stupid cat! how many times have we told you not to come in here?"

It purrs at my touch until I put it down so it can walk outside. Emma giggles a little and I smile.

We both take one step up the stairs and felt a strong breeze blow up behind us. I stare at her and she stares at me. We turn around slowly and notice nothings there, So we decided to continue up the stairs until the gust of wind had a tight grip on us and started pulling us back towards the well which started to light up.

Emma and I are screamed, terrified of what's going on.

What the hell is going on? I thought the well was broken for good?!

Before we knew it we were thrown into the well and that's when I realized we're time traveling. I grab onto emma's hand.

" Hold on and don't let go of my hand!"

I could feel her grip grow tighter. We reach the end of the light and are thrown out of the well into the air, as we came down screaming the air stopped us five inches off the ground and released us. I get up slowly and check around the area. Nothings happened yet.

Emma is looking around not scared anymore. " Kagome?"

" What?"

" Are we where you told me you were once before? that Era?"

I nod slowly. " Yeah, its seems about right." I stare at the surroundings.

I started to slowly gain my senses back. " Emma we need to get on different clothes or something to hide our scent. I almost forgot that demons usually hunt at night."

Emma stops and stares at me. " Kagome, in the time that you 've known me....do you think I really can't take care of myself? remember I'm a skilled swordsman."

I turned around. " While that may be true you can handle humans, but demons are a completely different thing."

We continue walking little ways until I see the village and quickly walk faster almost dragging Emma behind me.

"Kagome, where are we going!?"

"SHHH! you'll wake the entire village up if you don't stay quiet!"
