The time came for Maddie. Joey and I were sleeping and my water broke. So he drove me to the hospital. As I'm sitting in the bed waiting to fully dilate we talk about calling Jordan.
Joe: You have to call him. He's Maddie's dad.

I dial his number.
Me: Jordan come to the hospital. Maddie is coming. By the way I changed her name.. OWWW CONTRACTION.. a little bit. It's Madelyn Jordan Marcella Knight.
Jordan: Hang in there, Hay. I'll be right there. I love you.
Little did Jordan know I had it on speaker.
Joe: HEY WATCH IT KNIGHT.

I cut them off.
Me: SHUT UP. BOTH OF YOU. JORDAN JUST HURRY.
Jordan: I'll be there in a jiffy!
He hangs up.
Me: Joey I swear I'm dying.
Joe: You'll be fine.
Me: YOU'RE NOT THE ONE GOING THROUGH THIS. SO SHUT UP. I SWEAR I'M GOING TO CHOKE YOU-
Joe: Okay okay. I'm sorry baby.
Me: That's what I thought.
My attitude changed more as the pain worsened. Both boys were at my side.
Jordan: Do you need anything?
Me: Can you get me a sprite?
Jordan: Sure thing.
Joe: I have to go.
Me: WHY?!
Joe: Calm. I have to go meet someone to pick up something.
Me: Fine. Bye.
Joey leaves.
Jordan: Where did punk ass go?
Me: His name is Joey.
Jordan: I know. But I hate that guy. Anyways, here's your sprite.
He puts a straw in the can and holds it while I sip.
Me: Jordan I think I'm going to be sick.
Jordan: Let's go to the bathroom real quick. I'll hold your hair.
I let it all out in the toilet and Jordan rubs my back. He sings to me.
Jordan: ' Step by Step, oooo baby, gonna get to you girl. '
He always used to sing to me to make me feel better. I think I'm starting to miss him. No no. I have Joey.
Me: Can I confess something?
I lay back down in the bed.
Jordan: Of course.
Me: I miss you Jordan..
Jordan: I miss you too, more than you'll ever know.
He grabs my hand and I don't jerk away.
Me: I still love you.
Jordan: I feel the same exact way.
He looks into my eyes and I look into his.
We both lean in and our lips meet.
Jordan: God I've missed this.
Me: Me OW too.
Jordan: What's wrong?!
Me: The contractions are worse! Please get the nurse. I feel like I have to push!
Jordan: Okay baby. Hang in there.
The nurse comes in and I'm fully dilated.
Doctor: Okay. Give me a big push.
Jordan looks down at the head.
Jordan: I feel a little...
He passes out.
Me: JORDAN!?!
Doctor: Don't worry that's completely normal. Nurse go get him a chair.
Jordan: How did I end up down here?
The nurse helps him to the chair. He holds my hand.
I push and push then Maddie comes out.
Jordan cuts the cord.
The doctors clean her up and I let Jordan hold her first.
Jordan: Hi babygirl. Welcome to the world. You're as beautiful as mommy.
He kisses her nose.
My phone vibrates and it's Joey.
From: Joey
I think we need to break up. I'm not feeling the same anymore. I'm sorry.
My heart breaks a little but then I look over and Jordan is baby talking Maddie.
Maddie makes a weird face and then Jordan sniffs.
Jordan: I think Miss Maddie left mommy a chore.
He smirks.
Me: I think daddy wants hit.
Jordan: No.
He frowns.
A few days later we get to go home. Jordan carries Maddie and her stuff to the car. I get on the passengers side.
Me: Jordan my stuff is at Joey's house.
Jordan: I'll see if Donnie can get it. Are you moving back in with me?
Me: Yes. But I don't fully trust you yet.
Jordan: That's understandable. But I love you.
Me: I love you too.
I grab his hand. Maddie starts fussing.
Me: I think she spit her pacifier out.
Jordan: That's okay because we're home now.
He turns the car off and grabs the baby. She's crying now. We get inside and sit on the couch. Jordan is holding the baby and feeding her.
Me: She looks so much like you.
Jordan: I know. She's a cutie.
I cup his face and kiss him.
Jordan: What was that for?
Me: Just because I missed you.
Jordan and I lay down that night with the baby in her bassinet beside our bed. She's actually sound asleep. I hear Jordan's phone vibrate. I take a glance and see that it's a random number.

Me: Not again..
Jordan: Huh?
Me: You still talk to her Jordan.
Jordan: No I don't. I don't know why she keeps bothering me.
Me: Oh.
I turn over and let tears run down my cheeks.
Jordan: Babe stop I don't talk to her.
He pulls me close to him.
Jordan: Why would I when I have the best girl?
Me: I don't know. Why did you before ?
Jordan: Oh my god.
He gets up out of the bed and storms downstairs.
I feel like I ruin everything.
Jordan's attitude woke Maddie up and she starts crying.
