The next morning I walk downstairs and Maddie and Halee are gone. I see a couple papers on the counter.
To: Jordan
Maddie and I are at Joey's house. He wanted to talk.
The next paper is from Maddie.
To: Daddy
I ate the left over pizza.
Me: Damn it!
My stomach growls.
I approach Joey's house and I look in the window. He kisses her. I barge in.
Me: Oh so you think it's okay to take our daughter and then come over here to cheat on me?
I'm yelling at her at this point.
Halee: He kissed me!
Me: And you just can't stay away from your boy toy can you?
Joey: Get out.
Me: If I didn't have a bad hangover right now I'd be kicking your ass.
Joey: Do it you little pansy
I tackle Joey and start punching the shit out of him. He then pins me and starts punching me. I kick his ribs and then he bites me.
Halee: BOTH OF YOU. QUIT.
We don't listen. I start choking Joey and he chokes me.
Joey: Let *gasp* go.
Me: Not *gasp* until *gasp* you *gasp* do.
I let go of him and pick him up and throw him into the table. He gets up and tackles me down the stairs into the basement. We hit the bottom and I head butt him. I run up the stairs where Halee is.
Halee: You have a black eye and your nose is bleeding.
Me: I don't give two fucks. You get in the car. I'm not in the mood.
I walk outside.
Madelyn: Is daddy otay?
Halee: How about you stay with Uncle Jon for a week?
Maddie: OTAY. WE PLAY DWESS UP AN I DO HIS MAKEUP. AN TEA PAWTY.
Halee: He probably won't mind.
She laughs
Maddie: YAY
She smiles.
Halee straps Maddie in her car seat and gets in the passenger side. I turn on the radio. Step by Step by my boy band NKOTB comes on. I can't help but smirk.
Maddie: STEP ONE WE CAN HAVE WOTS OF FUN. STEP TWO DERES SO MUCH WE CAN DO. STEP FREE ITS JUST YOU AN ME.
Maddie screams the words at the top of her lungs. I'm laughing so hard at this point. She messes up a word.
Maddie: Fucking shit.
She pouts.
Halee and I look at each other wide eyed.
Me: Madelyn Jordan Marcella Knight don't say that ever again.
I hide my laugh.
Halee: If you say it again I'll take your Barbie away.
Maddie: NO I SOWWY.
At this point I have tears running down my face.
Me: I CAN'T BREATH. HELP.
I roll down a window.
Halee: I know you're mad but I have a surprise for you.
Me: Hmm?
Halee: I got us Kings island tickets.
Me: YOU DID?
She hands them to me.
Maddie: Is I going?
Halee: No. Remember you're staying with uncle Jon ?
Maddie screams.
Me: Maddie stop now.
She doesn't stop so I pull over and take her Barbie.
