Waking up has gotten to be so mundane. Living in a house with your uncle and aunt isolated from the world isn't something you grow fond of. Every day...the same. I wish something exciting would happen.
It takes me a minute to get out of bed, not because I feel drowsy. I feel like i'm already bored. I lay there, thinking of all the work that needs to be done. Since moving in with Uncle lorious things have seemed to move incredibly slow. Not to mention I didn't really know him that well.
When I found out I still had a living family member it shocked me to my core. I had been working at the orphanage I grew up in. I hated it even more there. "Grelod The Kind." Ha.. kind my ass. Finding out Loreius lived in Skyrim and he had his own land made me ecstatic. I decided to ask him if I could move in with him. He was reluctant at first but after my persistent begging he gave in. Little did I know I would earn my keep, oh would I ever.
Every morning I was instructed to get up at the asscrack of dawn and fetch water from the well. Then I had to tend to the animals, Then the crops. Honestly I don't know how the farm held its own without me, seems like I do everything.
But really I am nothing but grateful I have my own bed, food and a mildly kind host. Even with the pain of all the chores...it's an incredible improvement over Honorhall. I am so so so very grateful I no longer have to be around that retched woman. Always screaming and beating on all of us. I was the only one that was kind to those children. Now that i'm gone, I can't imagine what's happened.
I have heard news of Aventus running away to his previous home in windhelm, makes sense. Maybe one of these day's I could go visit him, or maybe not. I am really busy here anyway. Plus it's been at least a year after I moved in with my uncle, I doubt they even remember me.
After a while of tripping over my own thought ,I finally get out and get myself ready for my daily routine. I stood up and rubbed my eyes and stretched. I walked over to the mirror and started to brush my crazy bed head. I looked like a damn Hagraven.
I was so fixated on getting ready, when I heard a loud crash outside I couldn't help but jump and let out a yelp.
Still so early, still so cold. Was it worth even going out into the there? I guess I have to, I don't want to be yelled at by Uncle Loreius for not being "Neighborly".
I threw on a light sweater and crossed my arms to keep warm. I slipped my boots on that were beside the door. When I walked out into the cold misty outside I saw what looked like a wagon. It was too foggy to see the thing so I started making my way down the path to get a better look.
Yes, a wagon. Looks like the front right front wheel broke off. Easy fix though. I looked around the wagon and didn't see anyone. What? I don't understand, where could they have gone. I circled the wagon. My god I couldn't see but a foot or two in front of me. Squinting and tracing my hand along the side of the strange cargo I let out a raspy voiced ...
"Hello? Anyone there?"
Bumb. I ran into something, I almost knocked myself down...I would have. If it wasn't for that "something" holding me up. Oh, obviously I walked into the owner of the wagon.
I still could barely see, so all I could make out was that it was a rather short man. Still taller than myself though .
" Oh, by the nine. I'm sorry." I said . The figure hadn't let go of me which was getting to be a bit strange.
" Oh, Oh, Oh don't be sorry stranger. Foolish Cicero is at fault here, Oh yes FOOLISH CICERO!" The man said . He was a rather aggressive. He immediately intimidated me.
"Yes, I see you are in a bit of trouble. If this is your wagon then you've got a pretty big problem, Well only a problem if you wanted this thing to move." I let out a chuckle. To my surprise he started laughing along with me. He let go of my upper arms and started to look very distressed.
