I sat outside the office with one leg crossed over the other. The door creaked open and I stood up, seeing Emily come out with the employment manager, "I'll be calling you with an answer," the manager said. "I'll be waiting, thank you for your time," she replied.

I smiled and held out my hand, "I'll be faxing over the resume, and be awaiting a call," I added. "You have a mighty fine assistant, Ms. Barnes. Have a great day, Ms. Johnson," he said, nodding lightly to me.

I nodded back and he walked away as I sighed, "How did it go?" I asked Emily. "I think it went well, or so I hope," she chuckled.

Back At the Shop

"I feel so much better to be out of that outfit," I said with a smile as I plopped down next to Lloyd on the couch. "You looked great," he said back, laying his arm over my shoulder. "I looked like 'Anna Johnson', not Emma," I responded.

Lloyd laughed lightly and pressed his lips to mine softly. We released as soon as the door opened. "Emily wants you to go back out tonight to interview some people, she got the job," Cole told me. I nodded, "Okay, can I dress like myself?"

"Kind of, but not really, you still have to be A.J, you need to be helping with the interviews."

"What is the rest of the plan?" Lloyd wondered.

"So, Em will interview people and Emily will work the job and try to convince the people in the town hall that we're at fault for Emma's disappearance. Then people hate us, the town is safe for Emma, and she comes back when we find out who the new enemy is and why he wants Em," Cole explained.

"Well, I'm tired, so I'm going to take a nap."

"Well, who am I interviewing?" I asked Emily as I sipped a glass of water in the kitchen. "Some veteran from the serpentine war years ago," she replied.

"Just ask him who he thinks is at fault for Emma being gone and ask him random get to know you questions, and maybe some other things he wants to see improved with society," Nya told me.

"Great, got it, fantastic. Why?"

"If you can see what he thinks, we can use it t persuade others," Kai reminded. I rolled my eyes, "Whatever, see you losers later," I waved, grabbing my coat off the rack.
