Alyssa's POV

I reached into the bottom drawer of Sensei Wu's cabinet, I shouldn't be snooping but I need to find anything about where my friends could be. My fingers grasped a rolled piece of parchment paper, there was a mass of images on the back, and as I unrolled it, there was writing inside.

I sat down, crossing my legs, the paper in my lap. There was a ripped corner in the bottom left, large enough that is almost spread across the entire bottom of the page. I skimmed over the words, not being completely interested in all the details.

The main words that stuck out to me were: Dimensions... Banish... Villagers... Gem... Portals. In my head, the only thing that made sense with all of this was that the ninja and Sensei's were banished to several dimensions. And that I was supposed to use something to find them. The gem of portals, maybe?

As I continued reading, I noticed one small paragraph that basically explained everything; 'Being banished to a different dimension can take a toll on a person, the environments are nothing like the First Spinjitsu Master wanted, and they have grown out of Ninjago's control. If one were to achieve the Gem of Dimensions, they could travel to the...' I flipped the page over, looking for the rest of the writing, and it must have been ripped by accident, because that's where the tear ends.

I jumped up, searching the drawers again to see if it tore with Sensei, but no luck. Travel to the what? It could have told me how many dimensions there were. I groaned and flipped the sheet, looking at the images, which happened to be a map. I ran my finger over the different lands, seeing the difference in each.

One segment was an ice blue with faint outlines of glaciers, the one beside it was a light orange, the color of the desert. Below it was a large island of beach and green jungle, water surrounding it. And slightly to the left of the jungle was all rock and mountain. Each part had little houses drawn on each of the islands, perhaps villages, and they scattered all about the dimensions. There was purple lines in between each island, maybe the dimension lines so they don't overlap.

I couldn't tell if there was supposed to be another drawing at the torn part of the paper, but I assumed not. And I didn't think of it anymore, so I totaled about four dimensions, perfect. Now for this gem...

I knelt down by the drawer again and dug my hand to the very back, feeling a small round object. I pulled it out to see a light green crystal that fit in the palm of my hand. This must be the gem of dimensions, and if so, I am not wasting any time. I've already wasted a week, no more. I am coming for my family and friends.

No One's POV/ Third Person

Nya groaned, sitting down on the barren sand, Zane stood in front of her and Misako, creating a strip of ice for the two to cool down. "We've looked at three villages, and I'm pretty sure we've walked this entire desert." Nya complained.

"We can't give up hope." Zane spoke up, kneeling on the ground. "The villagers aren't very nice, we need to be able to sustain ourselves until Alyssa comes to help." Misako finally said, tightening her braid.

They've been stranded for a week, walking across the endless desert in the day, and cradling themselves at night to get through the cold. Zane can't give them warmth, he's the ninja of ice. But Misako and Nya have to stay together in order to survive. But they can, they can handle this, it isn't difficult for them, not compared to some of the others.

Cole paced around the sand, staring out at the endless sea, "I hated those villagers anyways." he mumbled, kicking a pile of sand. "We can survive just as well out here." Lloyd corrected, picking up a handful of sand in his hand and watching it slip through his fingers.

"Oh, I hope Alyssa knows what she's doing." Cole sighed, looking at the blue sky, "I hope Emma knows what she's doing." Lloyd added, laying his head down on the beach. Both boys had been here for a week, searching the island from bottom to top. Between the two of them, the search ended quickly as they're both strong willed.

But all the villages they encountered didn't exactly welcome them, unless you count shouting in a foreign language and throwing apples down welcoming. This island wasn't anything they couldn't handle though, the only problem and reason they wanted to go home was for their loved ones, Alyssa can do it... right?

Garmadon rubbed his hands by the fire Kai had made, "Seven days." Kai mumbled, his arms folded across his chest. Garmadon glanced up at the infuriated fire ninja, "Has it been that long?" he questioned.

Kai nodded, "Yes, Sensei, it has. And it only feels like it's getting colder here," Kai groaned, using more of his powers to give strength to the fire. The two had found refuge in a small igloo, abandoned by villagers. Garmadon uses a small hole in the hut to catch food while Kai uses his powers to keep them warm and cook the fish, a great duo if you ask anyone.

Trapped for a week, the two had grown close together, depending on one another for survival. The cold wasn't what made it hard to survive, it was the fact that they don't know where any of their family is, Alyssa is their only hope.

Jay rubbed his eyes, waking up from a short nap. Sensei Wu sat across from him, his eyes closed but he was awake. The villager from a week ago had answered their few questions and provided them with a place to stay for one night, along with food and water for a few weeks travel. But sadly, no tea for Sensei Wu.

"I don't understand." Wu spoke up, opening his eyes and gazing out over the mountain edge. A land full of rock, not exactly ideal for the master of lightning. "What is it, Sensei?" Jay asked, leaning against a large boulder.

"We aren't in Ninjago, I know that. I am having trouble understanding how we are here, and I can only hope Alyssa has used her 'snooping' skills to her advantage." Jay raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?" he asked the older man. Sensei sighed and stood up, "We must keep moving, now that we are rested."

Alyssa definitely had used her snooping skills to her advantage, Sensei knew he had the paper and gem, and now Alyssa did too.

Emma looked around, her eyes fully adjusted to the darkness after a week of being here. She walked into the clearing, seeing the treehouse village once again. Leaves rustled behind her and she immeadietly turned around, seeing an older man with a staff, his facial hair had grown wild, clearly not tended to.

Emma grew worried, she tried her best to stay away from these villagers, but it hand't worked. "You again." another man hissed, this one sounding younger, he suddenly appeared behind the older man who slowly stepped forwards, he shoved a large stick into her hand and motioned the other boy forwards, "You must earn your stay in this dimension." he demanded, stepping back.

Emma's eyes widened as she realized she wasn't holding a stick, they wanted her to kill this boy. 'Where are you guys?' she wondered.
