(Bryce's POV)

I woke up slowly, unsure if I truly wanted to get up or not. My body fought to stay wrapped up in the warm blankets, but my mind was having none of it. I turned and to my disappointment, found the other half of the bed empty. The sheets on that half of the bed were cold, which meant that Ohm had to have been up for a while.

I sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and stretching, a small noise making its way out of my mouth. I heard a light chuckle come from the kitchen, do I turned my head tiredly to see Ohm leaning against the counter with a mug in his hand.

"Mornin Brycey, did you sleep ok?" He asked. I nodded slightly, moving to stand from the cocoon of warmth. My feet instantly protested as they made contact with the cold floor, causing me to shiver.

"Yeah, better than I have in a long time, Ohm. Thank you," I said, my voice still quiet and rough from sleep. I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his chest. He smiled lightly at me.

"Of course Brycey, anytime. Now do you promise to stop hiding things from me so I can help you?" He asked. I sighed internally. I wanted to tell him about everything, but I just wasn't ready. I made a promise to myself, right there, that I would tell him once I was done with Adam.

"Yes Ohm, I promise," I said with no hesitation. And that just made me hate myself more.

I said goodbye to Mini and made my way out of the door. The papers were safely tucked away inside my sweatshirt, and I was heading out to give them to Adam. I had made sure to tell Mini that if Ohm showed up to come up with an excuse as to where I was. It wouldn't be long until I could tell them, but I still had to wait for just a while. I made my way into the opening of the forest. The sight was beginning to become a comforting one, which surprised me. As I continued walking, I swore I heard something behind me. I turned quickly, my eyes surveying the surrounding area. There was nothing there. I shrugged it off, blaming it on my nerves. Before I knew it, I had reached the clearing. Adam stood near the lake, leaning on a tree.

"Hey Adam," I said, walking up to him.

"Bryce! Did you bring the papers?" He asked. I nodded, pulling them out from my sweatshirt. His face lit up as I handed him the documents. He thanked me over and over as he looked over the papers. Suddenly Max came out from behind the tree, and Adam handed him the papers.

"Take these back, will you Maxie?" Adam said. Max rolled his eyes, but I could see the slight smile he held as he turned and walked away. Adam giggled and turned back to me.

"Again, thank you so much Bryce. Now, there was one more think that I wanted to talk to you about while we are here. I wanted to make you an offer," he said. I stood in confusion.

"What kind of offer?" I asked.

"You see Bryce, the other day I was thinking to myself. The documents are great and all, and are a tremendous help, but they are virtually useless unless I have people to help me. So, Bryce, I would like to offer you a position in a group that I have been working on creating. We call ourselves The Elemental Society. I knoe, not a very creative name, but it's the best I've got right now. Anyways, with this group I am trying to stop the Millennium Assembly. Our plan is to prevent the experimentation on any other people that they have. They are treating people like lab rats, and it is my goal to stop it at all costs. Of course, it would be easier with help. So, what do you say Bryce? Will you join the cause?" I stood, unsure of what to do as I processed all of the information I was given. I thought it was a great cause, after hearing everything that I was told. The only problem was, what would I do about my life here? I wasn't sure if the others knew about the MA, but they knew that the group ran the school. I could barely hide my small meetings, let alone working to fight the MA.
