(Bryce's POV)

I awoke to a very familiar looking room. It was cold and dark, and I realized that I was locked in what seemed to be a cage. I groaned as I figured out that I was in the same room that I found Cartoonz and Marcel in. My head pounded, throbbing every time I moved. I was starting to get real sick and tired of blacking out all the time; seriously, it was annoying.

My thoughts were paused when I heard the door to the room open. I couldn't make out the face of whoever had entered the room, even though they stopped right in front of the entrance to the cage.

"Well well well, what do we have here?" The man laughed darkly, "it looks to me like we have a new test subject."

"In your dreams," I spat.

"I don't think you understood, Bryce, this isn't a choice. Grab him boys." I could hear the amusement in his voice. The cage door quickly opened and I was roughly grabbed by two people. I struggled with all my might, but it was in vain. The two wouldn't budge, and the throbbing pain in my head didn't help matters either.

"There's really no point there, Bryce. You're just making matters worse for yourself. Let's go boys." The two holding onto me started to drag me out of the room. The sudden intrusion of light caused me to flinch back, the pain in my head doubling. I lost track of how many turns we took, getting lost in the maze of concrete. They finally came to a stop outside of a dark door, pausing only to open it and then push me in. Before I had time to recover, the once again grabbed me and strapped me to a table in the middle of the room.

The man finally stepped into a spot where I could see him. He wasn't anyone super interesting or eye-catching, but there was one thing that threw me off. The man had short, chestnut brown hair, green eyes, and a smirk that seemed like it wasn't going anywhere. He looked incredibly familiar, but I couldn't seem to figure out why.

"Really, you've done me a huge favor, so before we start the fun, I've really got to thank you. I mean, now not only do I have a new test subject, but you're also from the only group that dares to test us. Being a leader and all, it's not easy to deal with running everything and trying to keep people off your back. But now with you here, I have a personal well of information. After all, I think you owe me after you took our two most important experiments." By the time the man was finished talking, I wanted nothing more than to punch him. This guy was the most annoying, egocentric person on the planet.

"You wish. There's no way I'm telling you anything," I bit back. This only seemed to amuse the man further.

"Oh please, I have my ways. But since I consider myself a kind soul, I'll let you pick. Would you prefer tests or information first?" He questioned. I have him a sharp glare.

"Go to hell," I growled. He sighed, looking over at his two henchmen.

"If that's how you want to be, fine. Looks like it's questioning time."

Another shout resonated through the room as the man slapped me again. Pain shot through my cheek for th3 hundredth time, sending waves of pain throughout my head.

"When are you going to learn? This would all be so much easier if you just answered me," the man spoke, his voice firm.

"Never," I said as I spat at the ground. The man looked at me again, but their time, there seemed to be something a bit more sinister in his gaze. I steeled myself for the worst, challenging whatever he wanted to throw at me. He motioned for his men to bring him something and then turned back to me.

"Now, where is your base?" The leader demanded. I kept silent. Without warning I felt a swift punch to the stomach that caused me to begin coughing as I became winded. He turned and grabbed something from whatever had been brought over to him and redirected his attention to me. My eyes widened as I realized that in his hand was a very threatening, very sharp knife.
