Life isn't as Icy without Grandpa

"An emergency news cast! The main ship of Captain Filler has been caught in a deadly storm, water's are moving violently. The last report we got is quiet a fright and security is trying their best to find them at sea. Mr. Marlin roll the report." said the newscast man. I was terribly scared, that's the boat Grandpa works on. He could get hurt badly. I quickly got on the phone and called Uncle only to leave it near the TV for him to hear. I just left without even hearing him pick up, my heart was racing and I was crying. GRANDPA!

The docks were filled with people and the news cast were talking nonstop about the situation. The sky never looked so angry before, but I tried to get closer to the edge where I could see the crashing waters ahead. But someone grabbed me before I could see two waves tackling each other. As I turn around I see Mari with pleading eyes with worry.

"Let's head to the café, it's safer! Come on!" Mari said and I noticed that the scientist were out here watching carefully as if they were waiting for something. But I couldn't think straight, I felt my lungs tightened trying to catch air. I feel the pain of Grandpa, and all I could remember is running off somewhere.

The edge was a lot scarier then before, the waves crashing at the end of the rock solid ice. I didn't think twice though as I jumped, I would only turn to a coward and leave Grandpa against the weather and the angry sea. As I hit the water I change to my original form ready for some action. But it was very difficult, ice was being broken off from the edge and the movement of the water pushed slightly left and right. I took my chances though, looking for a ship. I moved around the water for a very long time till I found the ship. The men were holding onto the ship for dear life and there catch was long gone from here. I look around long and hard circling without being seen. Where was Grandpa?!

But I did what was right I moved the ship towards safety and swam back to the area. This time I could make a bit of a scene. I roared loudly as I fought through the waves crashing onto me. It was time for a better point of view, I took my catches and tried to pull myself out of the water which can be very hard to do. With the waves coming at me I had to time myself perfectly to fly out. I had to swim down only to swim back up fast to make a huge jump and fly off. But once again a striking pain stuck me chest and I couldn't make the jump. I swam desperately fast looking for Grandpa as the pain deepened in my chest, my veins felt like fire. I know I was not a fan of the heat but this was ten times worst.

"Hel-

Grandpa! I swam towards the sound and stuck my head out the water roaring towards the noise.

"ANGE-

It was definitely him for sure, I find him trying to stay on top of a small flat piece of the ship. I get close and use my mouth to grab him and throw him on the back of my neck. His temperature was dropping fast and he was shaking. I moan a bit and move through the water carefully.

Soon the water was calming down and it was just starting to rain. That's when I saw a flash of light and Grandpa tapped my neck.

"Let me go. They can't find you here. If they see you they will take you." Grandpa said. I was about to whimper a bit but he looked at me with his serious but worried eyes.. I put him on a stabled ice berg and swim off enough to see the safety team take him away to home. I just watch slowly and swim off to go home. When I did get home my body was aching like crazy, the pain still struck at me hard and I stayed in my room laying under my bed as usual. I would have to wait for Grandpa to come home.

That night he didn't come home, I had stayed up all night waiting for him to come home. Just to come home smiling that smile. But it was the morning, Grandpa would have been gone by now to work and I would be with Mari right now. But I didn't go anywhere, not without seeing Grandpa. That when the door opened from downstairs. Grandpa?! But I run with happy tears to only see Mari with the keys in her hand.

"Come on Angel, we have to go see Grandpa. He's sick at the hospital." She said and I get dressed for the day at the hospital.

Grandpa was pale, no more rosy cheeks of his. He was sleeping though with nice warm blankets, I just sat there sitting next to his bed. I wish he would wake up. I wish this all just a nightmare, and I wake up tomorrow for my birthday to have him all better. Tears poured down my cheer just thinking of Grandpa, no one loves me like he does. And no one will, he's the only one who took care of me the way he did. Before I could make a sound of whimpering the doctor came in to look at Grandpa.

"Hello, you must be Angel. Our patience here has told us a lot about you." The doctor said looking at Grandpa. He checked his temperature and other various things before he left. I just stayed beside Grandpa the whole time. At least till I fell asleep, and a awoke to be sent home. "I promise your Grandpa will be alright."

I put up my pinkie finger and looked at him seriously. He locked his pinkie with mine and I left peacefully. I just want Grandpa!
