Amelia's POV

--------------------------------

I didn't enjoy Rick's sarcasm and almost put a bullet through Morgan's head because of it. Just before I pulled the trigger, Rick explained everything that had happened and who this Morgan guy was. I was reluctant to pull my gun away from his head but eventually I did.

In the meantime, I bandaged Rick's shoulder. I was so pissed at him right now. How could he just stay up here with some psychopath? He could have been killed! Did he even think about how badly this could have turned out?

We walked out of the building, Morgan in tow. Rick and Carl talked to Morgan about staying with us at the prison. Merle just sat there looking bored while cleaning his knives.

I listened to Morgan deny staying with us and then walked over to the car to load my stuff inside. I heard feet come from behind me.

"Look I'm pissed off at you right now so just-" I turned around to see Daryl.

"Alright. I'll leave you alone." He said raising his hands.

"No," I said grabbing his wrist before he turned away. "Sorry it's just- I thought you were Rick."

"What're you pissed at Rick for?" He asked wrinkling his nose. He's I almost smiled.

"He could have died up there!" I pointed to Morgan who was still talking to Rick. "That psychopath could have killed him! And he didn't even think about how this would effect the group, especially Carl!"

"Rick's a big boy. He can handle himself," Daryl replied, rolling his eyes.

I turned around and started loading the car again.

"That's not the point," I sighed. "He got stabbed in the shoulder for fuck's sake! What if it was his heart or his head? How would that feel for Carl and the group? As much as he denies it, Rick is the group leader." Daryl didn't reply. "Daryl," I sighed, turning around to face Daryl once more. "Why did you leave?"

His entire body seemed to tense up. His eyes looked around everywhere but my face.

"Daryl.." I said frowning.

Daryl sighed. "Truth is, Am. I don know why I left. I just wanted to get away from everything. Y'know? The drama, the people. I just wanted to be alone for a bit."

"It was about me wasn't it?" I asked. "I'm one of the reasons you left." Daryl just nodded.

I faced the car again so he couldn't see my eyes swell with tears.

"Well," I said, closing my eyes. "Go get Rick so we can get out of here."

With that I hear footsteps walk away. I walk over to the passenger side of the car and get in, trying to make it look like I hadn't been crying. A couple minutes after, everybody else got in.

"Amelia?" Rick asked from the driver's seat. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah," I nodded, not looking at Rick or Daryl. "Fine."

I stayed silent the rest of the car ride back.

When we arrived back at the prison, I pretty much avoided both Rick and Daryl. I just didn't think I could handle talking to them right now. I walked up the stairs in the guard tower and stood looking over the field that was once empty. I had gotten so lost in my thoughts that I almost didn't hear someone enter the guard tower.

I pulled my gun out of my holster and pointed it at the intruder, only to see that it was Allison.

"Hey!," She said, raising her hands. "Don't shoot!" I let out a heavy sigh and put my gun back. "What's with the gun?" She asked lowering her hands slowly.

"Precaution I guess," I replied, shrugging my shoulders. "After what happened to Daryl you can't be too careful, right?" I gave her a pained smile.

Allison stared straight into my eyes. "You love him don't you Amelia?"

"Who?" I asked, trying to act innocent

Allison crossed her arms. "Daryl, Amelia. You love Daryl don't you?"

I turned around and stared back at the open field. "Yes," I sighed heavily. "But I love Rick too." I put my head in my hands and groaned. "Allison , what do I do?!"

She placed her hand on my back and spoke again. "Whatever you heart wants you to do." I looked back up at her and rolled my eyes.

"What the fuck does that even mean?!" I was so frustrated with all of the cliche shit that goes on around here.

Allison smiled and leaned on the guard rail. "It means," She said. "Follow your emotions. Don't let your head or anyone else make you make a certain decision. Don't worry Amelia, you'll know what to do." She started to walk away.

"You always do."

 ***

Later that day I ate my dinner by myself. I looked up to see Allison at another table with Beth and Maggie who were engaged in conversation. She made eye contact with me and nudged her head towards Daryl who was putting his empty bowl in the sink. She gave me a look that said, talk to him.

I took a deep breath and gave her a look that said, I will but not now.

She rolled her eyes and joined back in conversation with the Greene girls. I sighed and walked over to wash out my bowl.

Carol took it from me and began to wash it. I opened my mouth to tell that I would wash it. "Don't worry Hun." She said. "I can handle washing your bowl, because you have a lot on you plate that you need to think about. Go on now."

Ugh. Why does everyone think I know what I'm doing? I groaned and walked outside to think. I paced and paced but still had no idea what to do.

By the time I finished pacing and walked back inside, everyone was in there cells, asleep. All but one.

Daryl.

He was standing, his back turned to me, cleaning some of his arrows.

I took this as my chance.

I grabbed Daryl by the back of his shirt and pulled him towards our cell, making him drop his arrows. When we entered our cell, I shoved him up against the wall. He gave me a look of slight fear and pure confusion.

"What the hell-"

I gripped the front of his shirt and slammed my lips into his. He didn't hesitate to move his in sync with mine. His hands traveled all up and down my body while mine were tangled in his hair. Daryl picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist, my lips never leaving his. He turned around so now I was up against the wall. His rough hands gripped my sides, making my body tingle. Our lips never left each others, just moving in perfect sync. I pulled away, eyes still closed.

"I missed you so goddamn much." I whispered, my lips grazing his softly. He only said two words in reply.

"Prove it."
